 හමුදා මූලස්ථානය පිහිටි භූමිය ෂැන්ග්‍රි-ලා හෝටල් ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා පවරා දීමේදී ඇමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 05ක මුදලක් අල්ලස් වශයෙන් ලබාගත් බවට වන චෝදනාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් ප්‍රකාශයක් සටහන් කරගැනීමට, හිටපු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී සජින් වාස් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා ඊයේ (27) දින අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව හමුවේ පෙනී සිටියේය. 

කොමිසම මගින් කරන ලද කැඳවීමකට අනුව එහි පැමිණි ඒ මහතා පැය තුනකට ආසන්න දීර්ඝ කාලයක් තිස්සේ අදාළ සිදුවීමට අදාළව ප්‍රකාශ සටහන් කරදීමෙන් අනතුරුව පිටව ගොස් ඇත.

හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාට එරෙහිව යොමු කර ඇති මෙම පැමිණිල්ල ඉදිරිපත් කරනු ලැබ ඇත්තේ අල්ලස, දූෂණය සහ නාස්තියට එරෙහි පුරවැසි බලය සංවිධානය විසිනි.

සිංගප්පූරුවේ වෙසෙන 'විදම්බරම්' නැමැති තැනැත්තෙකු විසින් ලබාදී ඇති දිවුරුම් ප්‍රකාශයකට අනුව, මෙම අල්ලස් මුදල 'TPI Itma' නැමැති උපදේශන සමාගම හරහා හුවමාරු වී ඇති බව පැමිණිල්ලේ සඳහන් වේ.

මීට පෙර සජින් වාස් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා විසින් මාධ්‍ය හමුවේ දක්වන ලද අදහස් පදනම් කරගනිමින් මෙම පැමිණිල්ල සකස් කර ඇත.

Former MP Sajith Waas Gunawardena Appears Before Bribery Commission Over Allegations of Corruption

In a significant development, former parliamentarian Sajith Waas Gunawardena appeared before the Bribery or Corruption Investigation Commission yesterday, where he provided a statement regarding allegations of having accepted a bribe of 5 million US dollars in connection with the Shangri-La Hotel project located at the army headquarters.

Responding to a summons from the commission, Gunawardena spent approximately three hours providing detailed testimony concerning the incident before departing.

The complaint against him has been filed by the Citizens' Power Organization, which is advocating against corruption, bribery, and misconduct, suggesting that the allegations may also involve former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

According to a sworn statement from an individual known as 'Widambara', residing in Singapore, the bribe money was allegedly exchanged through a consultancy firm named 'TPI Itma'.

This complaint appears to be based on remarks made by Gunawardena during a recent media event, indicating an ongoing scrutiny regarding the handling of funds related to the CSN media network.

Further inquiries regarding the allegations and the specifics of the funds in question are expected as the investigation unfolds.
