අපේ ඇමතිලා කවුරුත් රජයේ මන්දිර පාවිච්චි කරන්නෑ..

 පවතින දූෂිත දේශපාලන සංස්කෘතිය වෙනස් කරමින් ජනතාවට උපරිම සේවයක් සැලසීම රජයේ මූලික අරමුණ බව අමාත්‍ය සමන්ත විද්‍යාරත්න මහතා පවසයි.

ජන හමුවකදී අදහස් දක්වමින් ඒ මහතා අවධාරණය කළේ, වත්මන් රජය යටතේ මැති ඇමතිවරුන් වෙනුවෙන් වෙන් කර ඇති වරප්‍රසාද රැසක් කප්පාදු කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන ඇති බවයි.

වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, මීට පෙර සියයකට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවක් සිටි කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලය මේ වන විට 23 දක්වා අඩු කර ඇති බවයි.

එමෙන්ම කිසිදු අමාත්‍යවරයෙකු රජයේ නිල නිවාස හෝ මන්දිර පරිහරණය නොකරන බවත්, තමන්ට හිමි නිල නිවස පවා තමන් මෙතෙක් දැක නොමැති බවත් ඔහු පැවසීය.

ජනාධිපතිවරයා සතු මන්දිර 14 න් බහුතරයක් සංචාරක ව්‍යාපාරය වැනි ආර්ථික කටයුතු සඳහා යෙදවීමට කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලය තීරණය කර ඇති බවද ඔහු අනාවරණය කළේය.

දේශපාලනඥයන්ගේ වරප්‍රසාද අහෝසි කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් දක්වමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, විශ්‍රාමික ජනාධිපතිවරුන්ට සහ ඔවුන්ගේ බිරින්දෑවරුන්ට ලබා දුන් සුඛෝපභෝගී මන්දිර, සේවකයන් සහ වාහන ඇතුළු සියලු වරප්‍රසාද අහෝසි කිරීමට නව නීති සම්මත කර ඇති බවයි.

එමෙන්ම වසර පහකින් මන්ත්‍රීවරුන්ට හිමිවන විශ්‍රාම වැටුප් ක්‍රමයද සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම අහෝසි කර ඇති බව ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.

රජය විසින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කර ඇති සහන වැඩපිළිවෙළ පිළිබඳව කරුණු දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා, 'අස්වැසුම' ප්‍රතිලාභීන් සංඛ්‍යාව වැඩි කර ඇති බවත්, රුපියල් 15,000 ක්ව පැවති පොහොර සහනාධාරය රුපියල් 25,000 දක්වා ඉහළ නංවා ඇති බවත් පැවසීය.

මීට අමතරව මහපොළ ශිෂ්‍යත්වය රුපියල් 5,000 සිට 10,000 දක්වා වැඩි කිරීමටත්, රාජ්‍ය සේවකයන්ගේ සහ වතු කම්කරුවන්ගේ වැටුප් ඉහළ නැංවීමටත් රජය පියවර ගෙන ඇති බව ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

රට තුළ පවතින මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය උවදුර සහ පාතාල ක්‍රියාකාරකම් මර්දනය කිරීම සඳහා දැඩි ක්‍රියාමාර්ග ගනිමින් සිටින බවත්, ඉදිරි වසර කිහිපය තුළ රට සංවර්ධිත මාවතකට යොමු කිරීම සඳහා ජනතාවගේ සහයෝගය අත්‍යවශ්‍ය බවත් අමාත්‍ය සමන්ත විද්‍යාරත්න මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

Government's Primary Goal is to Provide Maximum Service to People, Says Minister

In a recent public meeting, Minister Samantha Vidyaratne emphasized that transforming the existing toxic political culture to deliver maximum service to the populace is the government's fundamental objective. He pointed out significant progress made under the current administration in cutting back on various perks allocated to members of parliament.

During his address, the minister noted that the cabinet, which previously consisted of over a hundred members, has now been streamlined to just 23. This reduction reflects a commitment to more efficient governance and resource management.

He further revealed that no minister is utilizing government-supplied residences or official housing, stating that he himself has yet to occupy a government-owned house assigned to him. The minister disclosed that the cabinet has decided to repurpose the majority of the 14 residences owned by the president for economic activities, such as tourism enterprises.

Addressing the issue of abolishing privileges for politicians, he shared that new legislation has been passed to revoke all benefits, including luxurious homes, vehicles, and perks granted to retirees and their spouses.

Additionally, the minister indicated that the scheme granting pensions to parliamentarians after five years of service has been completely repealed. He highlighted the measures implemented by the government, noting an increase in the number of beneficiaries for the 'fertilizer' subsidy from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000.

Moreover, he pointed out that the government is in the process of increasing scholarships from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 and has taken steps to raise salaries for public sector workers and estate laborers. The minister reiterated the government's commitment to combat drug abuse and underground activities rigorously, while stressing that public support will be crucial in steering the country towards a developed path in the coming years.
