අල්ලසෙන් කැදවයි.. අකිල විරාජ් අතුරුදන්...

 එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයේ හිටපු මහලේකම් අකිල විරාජ් කාරියවසම් මහතාට එරෙහිව අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව පුළුල් පරීක්ෂණයක් ආරම්භ කර තිබේ.

ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය වෙත සේවකයින් බඳවාගෙන, ඔවුන් සිය පෞද්ගලික සහ දේශපාලන කටයුතු සඳහා යොදාගැනීම මගින් දූෂණයක් සිදුකර ඇති බවට ඔහුට චෝදනා එල්ල වී ඇත.

මෙම විමර්ශනයට අදාළව වැඩිදුර ප්‍රකාශ ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා ඊයේ (21) දින අල්ලස් කොමිසම හමුවේ පෙනී සිටින ලෙස අකිල විරාජ් කාරියවසම් මහතාට දන්වා තිබුණි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, ඒදින ඔහු කොමිසම හමුවට පැමිණ නොමැති බවත්, සිය නොපැමිණීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් බලධාරීන්ට කිසිදු පූර්ව දැනුම් දීමක් සිදු කර නොමැති බවත් අල්ලස් කොමිසම සඳහන් කරයි.

කෙසේ වෙතත් අකිල විරාජ් කාරියවසම් මහතා පවසන්නේ තමාගේ නිවසට හෝ කාර්යාලයට අල්ලස් කොමිසමෙන් කිසිදු කැඳවීමේ ලිපියක් හෝ දුරකථන ඇමතුමක් ලැබී නැති බවයි.

කැඳවීමක් ලද ඕනෑම විටක එහි යාමට සූදානම් බව කී කාරියවසම් මහතා නීතියෙන් සැඟවීමට කිසිම අවශ්‍යතාවයක් තමාට නොමැති බවත් පැවසීය.

රජයේ සේවකයින් පෞද්ගලික හෝ දේශපාලන අරමුණු සඳහා අවභාවිත කිරීම අල්ලස් පනත යටතේ දූෂණ වරදක් ලෙස සැලකේ.

ඒ අනුව, රාජ්‍ය සම්පත් අවභාවිත කිරීමේ චෝදනාව යටතේ මෙම විමර්ශන කටයුතු ඉදිරියටත් ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.

Ivestigation Launched Against Former UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has initiated a comprehensive inquiry into former United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.

Kariyawasam faces allegations of engaging in corrupt practices by employing individuals at the Presidential Secretariat for personal and political purposes.

In relation to this investigation, he was summoned to appear before the Bribery Commission on January 21. However, he failed to attend the hearing and did not provide any prior notice to the authorities regarding his absence, as reported by the Commission.

The misuse of state employees for personal or political objectives is classified as an offense under the Bribery Act.

Consequently, the inquiry into the allegations of the misappropriation of state resources will continue to progress.
