ඉන්ධන මිල ගණන් ඉහළ යාම හමුවේ මෙරට ප්‍රමුඛ පෙළේ මත්පැන් නිෂ්පාදන සමාගම් කිහිපයක් සිය නිෂ්පාදනවල මිල ගණන් ඉහළ දැමීමට පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.

නිෂ්පාදන සහ ප්‍රවාහන පිරිවැය ඉහළ යාම මෙම මිල සංශෝධනයට ප්‍රධාන හේතුව වී ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ.

ඒ අනුව, වෙළෙඳපොළේ වැඩිම අලෙවියක් සහිත මිලිලීටර් 750 ගල් අරක්කු බෝතලයක මිල රුපියල් 20කින් ඉහළ දමා ඇති අතර, එහි බෝතල බාගයක් මිල රුපියල් 10කින් ඉහළ ගොස් ඇත.

මීට අමතරව පරණ අරක්කු බෝතලයක මිල රුපියල් 50කින් ඉහළ නංවා තිබේ.

විදේශීය මත්පැන් වර්ග වන විස්කි සහ බ්‍රැන්ඩි බෝතලයක මිල රුපියල් 100කින් ඉහළ දැමීමට ද අදාළ සමාගම් කටයුතු කර ඇත.

මීට මාසයකට පමණ පෙර ද ඇතැම් මත්පැන් වර්ගවල මිල ගණන් ඉහළ දැමීමට නිෂ්පාදන සමාගම් පියවර ගෙන තිබිණි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, මෙවර මිල සංශෝධනයේදී බියර් මිලෙහි කිසිදු වෙනසක් සිදු කර නොමැති බව මත්පැන් නිෂ්පාදන සමාගම් සඳහන් කරයි.

මත්පැන් සඳහා මීට පෙර ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ පාලන මිල ක්‍රමය මේ වන විට ක්‍රියාත්මක නොවන බැවින්, පිරිවැයට සාපේක්ෂව මිල තීරණය කිරීමේ බලය නිෂ්පාදන සමාගම් සතු වී තිබේ.

Leading Sri Lankan Alcohol Producers Increase Prices Amid Fuel Cost Surge

In response to rising fuel prices, several major alcohol manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka have taken steps to increase the prices of their products. This adjustment comes as production and transportation costs continue to climb.

Reports indicate that the price of a 750ml bottle of popular arrack has been raised by Rs. 20, while the price of some smaller branded bottles has increased by Rs. 10. Additionally, the cost of older arrack bottles has surged by Rs. 50.

Furthermore, companies have announced a hike of Rs. 100 for foreign alcoholic beverages, including whiskey and brandy. It is worth noting that earlier this month, some beverage manufacturers had already begun raising prices on various alcohol categories.

Interestingly, beer prices remain unchanged, according to the manufacturers. With the previous price control system for alcoholic beverages no longer in effect, manufacturers now have the authority to set prices relative to their costs.
