රජයේ වාහන වෙන්දේසියකින් ලබා දෙන බව පවසා ව්‍යාපාරිකයෙකුගෙන් රුපියල් ලක්ෂ දහයක මුදලක් වංචා කිරීමේ චෝදනාව මත අමාත්‍ය ලාල් කාන්ත මහතාගේ සමීප ඥාතියෙකු කෑගල්ල විශේෂ අපරාධ විමර්ශන අංශය (SCIB) මගින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ.

මෙසේ අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇත්තේ අමාත්‍යවරයාගේ බිරිඳගේ නැගණියගේ ස්වාමිපුරුෂයා වන වයි. සුසන්ත සුදර්ශන නැමැති අයෙකි.

මස්පොත, පැල්ලන්දෙනිය ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි මොහු විසින් කෑගල්ල, හමුදුගල ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි ව්‍යාපාරිකයෙකුගෙන් මෙම මුදල ලබාගෙන ඇති බවට පොලිසියට පැමිණිලි ලැබී ඇත.

අදාළ ව්‍යාපාරිකයා විසින් කරන ලද පැමිණිල්ලකට අනුව සිදුකළ විමර්ශනවලින් අනතුරුව සැකකරු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇති අතර, ඔහු මේ වන විට කෑගල්ල පොලිස් ස්ථානයේ රඳවා තබා ඇත.

සැකකරු හෙට (12) දින අධිකරණය හමුවට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිතය.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් කෑගල්ල විශේෂ අපරාධ විමර්ශන අංශය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන කටයුතු මෙහෙයවනු ලබයි.

Associate of Minister Lal Kantha Arrested for Alleged Fraud

A close associate of Minister Lal Kantha has been arrested by the Kegalle Special Crimes Investigation Bureau (SCIB) on charges of defrauding a businessman out of ten million rupees, claiming to secure government vehicles through a fraudulent scheme.

The suspect, identified as Y. Susanta Sudarshana, is reportedly connected to the Minister's wife through her sister. He resides in the Maspotha and Pallegama areas.

It has come to light that Sudarshana allegedly obtained the substantial sum from a businessman living in the Kegalle, Hamudugala region. The police received a complaint regarding this matter.

Following an investigation prompted by the businessman's complaint, authorities were able to apprehend the suspect, who is currently being held at the Kegalle police station.

Sudarshana is expected to be presented in court tomorrow, December 12.

The SCIB continues to conduct further investigations into the incident.
