කළුතර, පයාගල - කොස්හේන ප්‍රදේශයේදී අද (31) සිදු වූ වෙඩි තැබීමකින් බරපතල තුවාල ලබා රෝහල්ගත කර සිටි 28 හැවිරිදි තරුණයෙකු ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව ඇති බව පොලිසිය පවසයි.

පොලිස් ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කරන්නේ, මෙම වෙඩි තැබීම සංවිධානාත්මක අපරාධ කල්ලි හෙවත් පාතාල කල්ලි දෙකක් අතර පවතින ගැටුමක ප්‍රතිඵලයක් ලෙස සිදුව ඇති බවට සැක කරන බවයි.

වෙඩි වැදීමෙන් පසු අසාධ්‍ය තත්ත්වයෙන් රෝහල්ගත කළ ද, එම තරුණයාගේ ජීවිතය බේරා ගැනීමට වෛද්‍යවරුන්ට නොහැකි වී තිබේ.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පයාගල පොලිසිය පුළුල් විමර්ශනයක් ආරම්භ කර ඇති අතර, වෙඩි තැබීම සිදු කළ සැකකරුවන් අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම සඳහා විශේෂ මෙහෙයුමක් ද ක්‍රියාත්මක කර ඇත.

Gunfire in Kalutara Claims Life of 28-Year-Old

A 28-year-old man succumbed to severe injuries sustained during a shooting incident in the Koshen area of Payagala today (31), according to police reports.

Investigators believe this incident stems from an ongoing conflict between two organized crime groups, commonly referred to as underworld gangs.

Despite being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, medical staff were unable to save the young man's life.

The Payagala police have launched an extensive investigation into the case and initiated a special operation aimed at apprehending the suspects involved in the shooting.

Authorities are also reviewing security camera footage in the area to identify the fleeing suspects.
