මෙම සිද්ධිය අම්බලන්ගොඩ පොලිස් ස්ථානය තුළ සිදුවූ සිද්ධියක් බව අනාවරණය වී ඇත.
වීඩියෝවේ දක්වන පියා ලෙසින් හදුන්වන වියපත් පුද්ගලයා 2026.08.24 වන දින රාත්රියේ බීමත්ව අශෝබන ලෙස මාර්ගයක සැරිසැරීම හේතුවෙන් අම්බලන්ගොඩ පොලිස් ස්ථානයේ නිලධාරීන් විසින් ඔහුව එම අවස්ථාවේදීම අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන පොලිස් ස්ථානයට ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇත.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ මෙම සැකකරු දිවයාමට උත්සහ දරා ඇති අතර දිව යාමට නොහැකිව ඇද වැටී සිදුවූ රුධිර වහනය වීමක සලකුණු වීඩියෝවේ දර්ශනය වන බව වාර්තා වේ.

අධිකරණ වෛද්ය නිලධාරීවරයා විසින් පරීක්ෂාවට ලක්කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව බලපිටිය ගරු අතිරේක මහේස්ත්රාත්වරයා විසින් එහිදී මෙම සැකකරුව ඇප මත මුදා හැරීමට නියෝග කර තිබේ.

Controversy Erupts Over Police Conduct Following Viral Video Incident
A video circulating on social media has sparked outrage, showing an individual behaving erratically inside a police station, claiming that his father had been assaulted by police officers. The incident occurred at the Ambalangoda Police Station.
Identified as a middle-aged man, the father was reportedly arrested on the night of August 24, 2026, for wandering inappropriately while under the influence of alcohol. Police officials apprehended him at the scene and brought him to the station.
During the arrest, the suspect allegedly attempted to flee but fell, an act depicted in the distressing video, which shows signs of significant distress and blood loss.
On August 25, 2026, the individual was admitted to Balapitiya Hospital. Following an examination by a court medical officer, the additional magistrate at the hospital subsequently ordered his release on bail.
In response to the public outcry and following a directive from the Inspector General of Police, formal investigations have been initiated by a senior police officer under the jurisdiction of the Ambalangoda Police Station, operating independently from the Elpitiya Police Division.
