තමන්ට එරෙහිව සමාජ මාධ්ය ජාලා ඔස්සේ අසත්ය සහ අපහාසාත්මක පුවත් ප්රචාරය කරන පුද්ගලයන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුට එරෙහිව ප්රවීණ ක්රිකට් ක්රීඩක තිලකරත්න දිල්ෂාන් කොළඹ මධ්යම අපරාධ විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාශය වෙත පැමිණිල්ලක් ඉදිරිපත් කළේය.
ඩුබාහිදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන මෙරටට රැගෙන ආ සංවිධානාත්මක අපරාධකරුවකු වන ශිරාන් බාසික් නමැත්තා සමඟ තමන් සම්බන්ධ කරමින්, අයථා මූල්ය ගනුදෙනු හෝ වංචනික ක්රියාවල නිරත වන බවට හැඟවෙන පරිදි පළ කර ඇති වාර්තා සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම අසත්ය බව ඔහු සිය පැමිණිල්ල මගින් පෙන්වා දී ඇත.
කිසියම් පිරිසක් විසින් සැලසුම් සහගතව තම කීර්ති නාමය විනාශ කිරීමේ අරමුණින් මෙම ප්රචාරයන් සිදු කරන බව දිල්ෂාන් මහතා අවධාරණය කරයි.
මෙම අසත්ය තොරතුරු සමාජ මාධ්ය ඔස්සේ ප්රචාරය කළ පුද්ගලයන්ගේ දත්ත සහ අදාළ සාක්ෂි ද ඔහු විසින් විමර්ශන නිලධාරීන් වෙත භාර දී තිබේ.
මෙම ප්රකාශවල සත්ය අසත්යතාවය සොයා බැලීමටත්, ඒවා පිටුපස පවතින සංවිධානාත්මක ක්රියාවලිය පිළිබඳව ස්වාධීන සහ නීත්යානුකූල පරීක්ෂණයක් පවත්වන ලෙසත් ඔහු පොලිසියෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියේය.
පැමිණිල්ල ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව මාධ්ය වෙත අදහස් දැක්වූ තිලකරත්න දිල්ෂාන් මෙසේ පැවසීය.
"මුදල් ඉපයීමේ පටු චේතනාවෙන් සමාජ මාධ්ය මෙහෙයවන පුද්ගලයන් දෙදෙනෙකු සහ එක්තරා භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේ නමක් විසින් මට එරෙහිව මෙම අසත්ය චෝදනා එල්ල කර තිබෙනවා.වසර ගණනාවක් කැපවීමෙන් ක්රීඩා කර රටට ලබාදුන් ගෞරවය මෙන්ම මගේ බිරිඳ, දරුවන් සහ ඥාතීන්ගේ පෞද්ගලිකත්වයටත් මෙමගින් විශාල අසාධාරණයක් සිදුව තිබෙනවා."
එල්ල වී ඇති සියලු චෝදනා තමන් ප්රතික්ෂේප කරන බවත්, තමන් සියයට දහසක් නිවැරදි බවත් පැවසූ ඒ මහතා, තමන්ට අපහාස කළ පුද්ගලයන්ට එරෙහිව ඉදිරියේදී දැඩි නීතිමය පියවර ගන්නා බවත්, ඒ සඳහා අවශ්ය ලේඛන මේ වන විටත් සිය නීතිඥයන් විසින් සකස් කරමින් පවතින බවත් වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.
Former Cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan Files Complaint Against Online Defamation
In a significant response to the spread of false and defamatory statements about him on social media, former Sri Lankan cricket star Tillakaratne Dilshan lodged a complaint with the Colombo Central Criminal Investigation Division.
These allegations surfaced in connection with reports suggesting Dilshan’s involvement with an organized criminal, Shiran Basik, who had been apprehended in Dubai and brought back to Sri Lanka. In his complaint, Dilshan firmly refuted any insinuations regarding illicit financial activities or fraudulent schemes, describing these claims as completely unfounded.
Emphasizing the malicious intent behind the reports, he pointed out that certain individuals appear to be orchestrating these smear campaigns to tarnish his reputation.
Along with his complaint, Dilshan submitted evidence and the identities of those responsible for propagating this misinformation to the investigators, urging them to conduct a thorough examination of the claims’ authenticity and the organized efforts behind them.
Speaking to the media after filing his complaint, Dilshan expressed his frustration, stating, “Two individuals influencing social media, along with a certain monk, have made these false accusations against me. Years of dedication to the sport, and the dignity I’ve brought to my country, have been unjustly compromised, impacting not only me but also the privacy of my wife, children, and relatives.”
He categorically dismissed all allegations, asserting that he stands firm in his integrity and plans to take stringent legal action against those who have defamed him. Dilshan also noted that his legal team is already preparing the necessary documentation to address the matter further.
