කොළඹ-ගම්පහ ජල සැපයුම අත්හිටුවයි...

 කැලණි ගඟෙන් ජලය ලබාගන්නා ස්ථානය ආශ්‍රිතව ජලයේ ගුණාත්මකභාවයට බලපෑ හැකි හදිසි තත්ත්වයක් මතු වීම හේතුවෙන්, කොළඹ සහ ගම්පහ දිස්ත්‍රික්කවල ප්‍රදේශ කිහිපයක ජල සැපයුම අද (25) අලුයම සිට තාවකාලිකව අත්හිටුවීමට පියවර ගත් බව ජාතික ජලසම්පාදන හා ජලාපවහන මණ්ඩලය නිවේදනය කරයි.

ආපදා කළමනාකරණ මධ්‍යස්ථානය විසින් කරන ලද දැනුම්දීමකට අනුව, අඹතලේ සහ කැලණි දකුණු ඉවුර යන ජල පවිත්‍රාගාරවල ජල සැපයුම් කටයුතු මෙලෙස අත්හිටුවා තිබේ.

ජල සැපයුම යථා තත්ත්වයට පත් කරන වේලාව පිළිබඳව ඉදිරියේදී මහජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන බව සඳහන් කරන ජලසම්පාදන මණ්ඩලය, මෙම හදිසි තත්ත්වය හමුවේ පාරිභෝගික ජනතාව දක්වන සහයෝගය කාරුණිකව අපේක්ෂා කරන බව ද වැඩිදුරටත් දන්වා සිටියි.

Water Supply Interruption in Colombo and Gampaha Due to Quality Concerns

A sudden emergency has arisen concerning the quality of water sourced from the Kelani River, leading to immediate action by authorities. As a result, several areas in the Colombo and Gampaha districts will experience a temporary suspension of water supply starting this morning, the 25th.

According to a notification from the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, water delivery services from the Ambathale and Kelani South purification plants have been halted due to the urgent situation related to water quality.

The Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that they will keep the public informed about the timeline for restoring water supply. They express appreciation for the understanding and cooperation expected from the public during this critical period.
