ශ්රී ලංකන් ගුවන් සමාගමේ එයාර්බස් ගනුදෙනුවට අදාළව පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සහ අදාළ ගුවන් සමාගම අතර කිසිදු ඊමේල් පණිවිඩ හුවමාරුවක් සිදුව නොමැති බවත්, අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් වූ කිසිදු ඊමේල් පණිවිඩයක ඔහුගේ නම හෝ සඳහන්ව නොමැති බවත් නීතිඥ මනෝජ් ගමගේ මහතා පවසයි.
අධිකරණ පරිශ්රයේදී මාධ්ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් ඒ මහතා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, ආණ්ඩුවේ ඇතැම් පාර්ශ්ව විසින් අධිකරණයේ සිදුවූ කරුණු විකෘති කරමින් සමාජගත කිරීමට උත්සාහ දරන බවයි.
පසුගිය දිනවල කතාබහට ලක්වූ ඊමේල් පණිවිඩ හුවමාරු වී ඇත්තේ අදාළ සමාගමේ අභ්යන්තර නිලධාරීන් කිහිපදෙනෙකු අතර පමණක් බවත්, නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ මැදිහත්වීමක් හෝ අල්ලස් ලබාගැනීමක් පිළිබඳව එහි කිසිදු සඳහනක් නොමැති බවත් හෙතෙම අවධාරණය කළේය.
එමෙන්ම, ෂමීන්ද්ර රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ගිණුමට මුදල් බැරවූ බවට පළවන වාර්තාද පූර්ණ අසත්යයක් බව නීතිඥවරයා කියා සිටියේය.
මෙම නඩුවට අදාළව මේ වන තෙක් යොදාගෙන ඇති එකම සාක්ෂිය වන්නේ නිමල් පෙරේරා නමැති අය රජයට ලබාදුන් ප්රකාශය පමණක් බව සඳහන් කළ ඒ මහතා, සාක්ෂි ආඥාපනතට අනුව අපරාධයක අපසහායකයෙකුගේ ප්රකාශයක් මත පමණක් පුද්ගලයෙකු වරදකරුවෙකු කළ නොහැකි බව නීතිය දන්නා ඕනෑම අයෙකු පිළිගන්නා කරුණක් බව පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.
නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා දේශපාලනික වශයෙන් මර්දනය කිරීමේ අරමුණින් පොදු දේපළ පනත අවභාවිත කරමින් ඔහුව සිරගත කිරීමට රජය උත්සාහ කරන බවට චෝදනා කළ නීතිඥ මනෝජ් ගමගේ මහතා, නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සිරගත කළද ශ්රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ හෝ ජනතා නැගිටීම කිසිසේත්ම පාලනය කළ නොහැකි බව වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.
No Evidence of Email Exchange in Airbus Deal, Claims Namal Rajapaksa’s Attorney
The ongoing controversy surrounding SriLankan Airlines' Airbus deal has taken an intriguing turn, with attorney Manoj Gamaghe asserting that there were no email exchanges between Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa and the relevant airline officials. He emphasized that the judicial proceedings have not produced any emails bearing Rajapaksa's name.
Speaking to the media in the court premises, Gamaghe pointed out that certain factions within the government appear to be misrepresenting court findings and attempting to publicize them misleadingly.
The recent discussions regarding email communications were limited to interactions among several internal officials of the airline, without any implication of Rajapaksa's involvement or allegations of bribery, he underscored.
Moreover, he dismissed as completely false reports suggesting that funds had been transferred to the account of Shamiendra Rajapaksa.
Gamaghe noted that the only evidence presented thus far in this case is a statement made by an individual named Nimal Perera to the government. He clarified that under legal parameters, a person can’t be deemed a perpetrator solely based on the statement of an accessory to a crime, a principle acknowledged by anyone knowledgeable about the law.
Further allegations were made by attorney Manoj Gamaghe, who asserted that the government is attempting to imprison Namal Rajapaksa under the guise of public property laws for political repression. He warned that even if Rajapaksa were imprisoned, it would be impossible for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna or the public uprising to be quelled.
