අධික වේගයෙන් ධාවනය වූ ත්රීරෝද රථයක් සහ ලංගම බස් රථයක් අනතුරට පත් විමෙන් ත්රීරෝද රථයේ ගමන් ගත් රියදුරා බරපතල ලෙස තුවාල ලබා දික්ඔය මුලික රෝහලට (25) දින ඇතුලත් කල බව නෝර්වුඩ් පොලිසිය පැවසීය.
(25) දින පස්වරු 2:30ට පමණ මෙම අනතුර සිදු වී ඇත්තේ හැටන් බගවන්තලාව ප්රධාන මාර්ගයේ දික්ඔය මූලික රෝහල ආසන්නයේදිය.
හැටන් සිට නෝර්වුඩ් දක්වා ධාවනය වූ ත්රීරෝද රථයක් සහ මස්කෙළිය සාමිමලේ සිට හැටන් දක්වා ධාවනය වු ලංගම බස් රථයකුයි මෙසේ අනතුර පත් වී ඇත්තේ.
ත්රීරෝද රථ රියදුරා සිය ජංගම දුරකථනයෙන් කථා කරමින් ත්රීරෝද රථය අධික වේගයෙන් ධාවනය කර ඇති බවත්, ත්රීරෝද රථයේ වේගය පාලනය කර ගත නොහැකිව ත්රීරෝද රථය ප්රතිවිරුද්ධ දිශාවෙන් ඉදිරියට ධාවනය වු ලංගම බස් රථයේ මුහුණේ සහ බදේ ගැටී මෙම අනතුර සිදු වී ඇති බවයි නෝර්වුඩ් පොලිසියේ රථවාහන අංශයේ නිළධාරින් කියා සිටියේ.
අනතුරින් ත්රීරෝද රථය දැඩි අලාභ හානි සිදු වී ඇති අතර, බස් රථයේ මුහුණත සහ බද කොටසට අලාභ හානි සිදු වී ඇත.
ත්රීරෝද රථ රියදුරාගේ නොසැලකිලිමත් රිය ධාවනය අනතුරට හේතු වී ඇති බව අනතුර පිලිබද පරික්ෂණ පවත්වන නෝර්වුඩ් පොලිසිය සැකකරයි.

Serious Collision Involving Three-Wheeler and Bus Near Dikoya
A three-wheeler traveling at high speed collided with a passenger bus in a serious accident on September 25, resulting in the three-wheeler driver sustaining severe injuries. The incident prompted the driver’s immediate transfer to the Dikoya Base Hospital, as reported by the Norwood police.
The accident occurred around 2:30 PM near the Dikoya Base Hospital along the Hatton-Bagawantalawa main road.
Details indicate that the three-wheeler was en route from Hatton to Norwood, while the bus was traveling from Maskeliya Samimale to Hatton at the time of the crash.
Witnesses stated that the three-wheeler driver was using his mobile phone and was unable to control the vehicle due to excessive speed. This led to the vehicle veering into the opposite lane, resulting in a collision with the front and side of the oncoming bus, according to officers from the Norwood traffic division.
The collision caused significant damage to the three-wheeler, as well as damage to the bus’s front and side sections.
The Norwood police suspect that the driver’s negligent driving contributed to the accident and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
