පොලොන්නරුව ජාතික වකුගඩු රෝහලේ මුළුතැන්ගෙය තුළ අද (26) අලුයම සිදුවූ ගෑස් පිපිරීමකින් එහි කාර්ය මණ්ඩල සේවකයින් හත් දෙනෙකු (07) බරපතළ තුවාල ලබා රෝහල්ගත කර තිබේ.
තුවාල ලැබූ සේවකයින් කඩිනමින් පොලොන්නරුව මහ රෝහල වෙත ඇතුළත් කර ඇති අතර, ඔවුන් අතුරින් තිදෙනෙකුගේ තත්ත්වය බරපතළ බව රෝහල් ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කරයි.
අද අලුයම 4.00 ට පමණ මෙම පිපිරීම සිදුව ඇති අතර, අනතුර හේතුවෙන් රෝහලේ මුළුතැන්ගෙය ඇතුළු ගොඩනැඟිල්ලට දැඩි අලාභහානි සිදුව ඇත.
කෙසේවෙතත්, අනතුර සිදුවූ අවස්ථාවේදී රෝහලේ නේවාසිකව ප්රතිකාර ලබමින් සිටි රෝගීන්ට හෝ වෛද්ය ඇතුළු සෞඛ්ය කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයට කිසිදු හානියක් සිදුව නොමැත.
රෝගීන්ගේ උපරිම ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා ඔවුන් කඩිනමින් වෙනත් ආරක්ෂිත වාට්ටු වෙත මෙන්ම පොලොන්නරුව මහ රෝහල වෙත මාරු කර යැවීමට රෝහල් බලධාරීන් පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.
සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් රෝහල් පරිපාලනය සහ පොලීසිය එක්ව වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන සිදු කරයි.
Gas Explosion at Polonnaruwa National Hospital Injures Seven
A gas explosion in the kitchen of the Polonnaruwa National Hospital early this morning (26th) has left seven staff members with serious injuries, necessitating their hospitalization.
The injured workers have been swiftly admitted to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital, with reports indicating that the condition of three of them is critical.
The incident occurred around 4:00 AM and has caused significant damage to the entire building, including the hospital's kitchen.
Fortunately, patients receiving treatment at the hospital at the time of the explosion, as well as medical and health staff, were unharmed.
In a bid to ensure maximum safety for the patients, hospital authorities have taken immediate steps to transfer them to other secure wards and the Polonnaruwa General Hospital.
The hospital management and police are conducting a joint inquiry into the incident to investigate further.
