ඒ අනුව, ගාල්ල, මහනුවර සහ නුවරඑළිය යන දිස්ත්රික්කවල ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාස කිහිපයක් සඳහා 3 වන මට්ටමේ (රතු) ඉවත් වීමේ අනතුරු ඇඟවීම් නිකුත් කර ඇත.
පසුගිය පැය 24 තුළ මිලිමීටර් 150 ඉක්මවූ වර්ෂාපතනයක් වාර්තා වී ඇති බැවින් සහ තවදුරටත් වැසි අපේක්ෂා කරන බැවින්, පහත සඳහන් ප්රදේශවල ජනතාව නායයෑම්, බෑවුම් කඩාවැටීම් සහ ගල් පෙරළීම් ආදී ආපදාවලින් ආරක්ෂා වීම සඳහා වහාම සුරක්ෂිත ස්ථාන කරා ඉවත්වන ලෙස උපදෙස් දී තිබේ.

මීට අමතරව, මිලිමීටර් 100 ඉක්මවූ වර්ෂාපතනයක් වාර්තා වීම හේතුවෙන් 2 වන මට්ටමේ (ඇම්බර්) අවධානයෙන් සිටීමේ අනතුරු ඇඟවීම් පහත ප්රදේශ වෙත නිකුත් කර ඇති අතර, අවශ්ය වුවහොත් ආරක්ෂිත ස්ථාන කරා ඉවත්වීමට සූදානම්ව සිටින ලෙස දන්වා ඇත:
- කෑගල්ල දිස්ත්රික්කය: අරණායක, දෙහිඕවිට, මාවනැල්ල, දැරණියගල සහ යටියන්තොට.
- රත්නපුර දිස්ත්රික්කය: රත්නපුර සහ පැල්මඩුල්ල.
- මහනුවර දිස්ත්රික්කය: දෙල්තොට, උඩුනුවර, ගඟවට කෝරළේ, යටිනුවර සහ පන්විල.
- ගාල්ල දිස්ත්රික්කය: ඇල්පිටිය, බද්දේගම සහ කරන්දෙනිය.
- කළුතර දිස්ත්රික්කය: වළල්ලාවිට.
- නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්රික්කය: තලවාකැලේ.
එසේම, කොළඹ (සීතාවක, පාදුක්ක), ගම්පහ (අත්තනගල්ල, මීරිගම), කළුතර (ඉංගිරිය, බුලත්සිංහල), හම්බන්තොට (කටුවන, වලස්මුල්ල), මාතර (පිටබැද්දර, කොටපොළ, පස්ගොඩ), කුරුණෑගල (මල්ලවපිටිය, අලව්ව, පොල්ගහවෙල, මාවතගම) ඇතුළු ප්රදේශ කිහිපයකට 1 වන මට්ටමේ (කහ) විමසිලිමත් වීමේ නිවේදන නිකුත් කර තිබේ.
කඳුකර බෑවුම්, ගැඹුරු නිම්න, කපා සකස් කළ බෑවුම් සහිත ප්රදේශවල හෝ අවදානම් මාර්ග ආසන්නයේ ජීවත්වන ජනතාව මේ පිළිබඳ විශේෂ අවධානය යොමු කළ යුතුය. පොළොවෙහි ඇතිවන පැලුම් හෝ ගිලාබැසීම්, ගස් හෝ විදුලි කණු ඇලවීම, ගොඩනැගිලි බිත්තිවල ක්ෂණික පිපිරීම් සහ ජල උල්පත් බොරවීම හෝ හදිසියේ මතුවීම වැනි පූර්ව නායයෑම් ලක්ෂණ දුටු වහාම එම ස්ථානවලින් ඉවත්වන ලෙසත්, ආපදා කළමනාකරණ අංශ ලබාදෙන උපදෙස් නිරන්තරයෙන් පිළිපදින ලෙසත් ජාතික ගොඩනැගිලි පර්යේෂණ සංවිධානය ජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටී.
Severe Rainfall Triggers Evacuation Alerts in Multiple Districts
The ongoing heavy rainfall across the country has prompted the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) to issue pre-evacuation warnings for 11 districts deemed at risk of landslides and related hazards.
In line with these concerns, alerts indicating Level 3 (Red) evacuation orders have been distributed to several divisional secretariat divisions within the Galle, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts, highlighting the critical need for immediate action.
After recording over 150 millimeters of rainfall in the past 24 hours with further rainfall anticipated, residents in specific areas have been urged to move to safe locations to protect themselves from potential landslides, flash floods, and rockfalls.
- Galle District: Nelwa, Nagoda, Niyagama, and Thawalama.
- Kandy District: Ganga Ihala Korale, Uda Pahatha, Doluwakanda, and Pasbage Korale.
- Nuwara Eliya District: Western Kothmale, Eastern Kothmale, Ambagamuwa, and Norwood.
Additionally, due to rainfall exceeding 100 millimeters, Level 2 (Amber) alerts have been issued for the following areas, with residents advised to be prepared to evacuate if necessary:
- Kadawatha District: Aranayaka, Dehiowita, Mawanella, Deraniyagala, and Yatiyanthota.
- Ratnapura District: Ratnapura and Palmadulla.
- Kandy District: Delthota, Udu Nuwara, Gangawata Korale, Yatinuwara, and Panwila.
- Galle District: Alpitia, Baddegama, and Karandeniya.
- Kalutara District: Walallawita.
- Nuwara Eliya District: Talawakelle.
Moreover, precautionary Level 1 (Yellow) notices have been released for several regions, including Colombo (Sitawaka, Padukka), Gampaha (Aththangalla, Mirigama), Kalutara (Ingiriya, Bulathsinghala), Hambantota (Katukanda, Walasmulla), Matara (Pitabeddara, Kotapola, Pasgoda), and Kegalle (Mellawapitiya, Alawwa, Polgahawela, Mawatagama).
Residents living near high-risk areas such as hill slopes, deep valleys, and riverbanks are urged to pay special attention. Signs of impending landslides, including cracking or sinking ground, vegetation being uprooted, sudden bursts of ground and building walls, and the disappearance of water sources should prompt immediate evacuation from those locations. The NBRO has called on citizens to heed the advice of disaster management authorities continuously.
