ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් ආයතනයේ හිටපු සභාපති ශම්මි සිල්වා සහ එහි හිටපු ලේකම් ක්‍රිෂාන්ත කපුවත්ත යන මහත්වරුන් නීති විරෝධී වත්කම් විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසය හමුවට කැඳවා තිබේ.

නීති විරෝධී වත්කම් විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසය මගින් දැනට ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන විශේෂ විමර්ශනයකට අදාළව ප්‍රශ්න කර ප්‍රකාශ සටහන් කර ගැනීම සඳහා මොවුන් මෙලෙස කැඳවා ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ.

පසුගිය කාලසීමාව තුළ ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් ආයතනය තුළ ඇති වූ ආන්දෝලනාත්මක වාතාවරණය සහ විවිධ පාර්ශවවලින් එල්ල වූ චෝදනා හමුවේ මොවුන් දෙදෙනා සිය තනතුරුවලින් ඉවත් වීමට කටයුතු කළහ.

Former Sri Lanka Cricket Officials Summoned for Investigation

Shammi Silva, the former chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, alongside its ex-secretary Krishantha Kapuwatte, has been summoned by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) for questioning.

The investigation is part of an ongoing special inquiry into allegations of financial malpractice, with the former officials called to provide statements and clarify certain issues arising from the investigation.

They are expected to discuss several key concerns that have surfaced during the inquiry, reflecting a tumultuous period within Sri Lanka Cricket which led to various accusations from different quarters.

Both Silva and Kapuwatte took steps to resign from their posts amidst the challenging atmosphere and mounting allegations surrounding the cricket governing body.

The FCID is set to continue its investigations further, aiming to unravel the complexities of the situation.
