මහනුවර, පොල්ගොල්ල මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ රඟහල සඳහා රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 74 ක වටිනාකමකින් යුත් පුටු සැපයීමේදී නිසි ප්රසම්පාදන ක්රියාවලිය අනුගමනය නොකිරීමෙන් රජයට පාඩු සිදු කර ඇති බවට මන්ත්රීවරයාට චෝදනා එල්ල වී තිබේ.
මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් සැකකාර හිටපු අමාත්යවරයා අද පෙරවරුවේ අත්අඩංගුවට ගනු ලැබීය.
අධිකරණය හමුවට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව ඔහු ඇප මත මුදා හැරීමට නියෝග කළ මහේස්ත්රාත්වරයා, සැකකරුට විදේශ ගමන් තහනමක් ද පැනවීමට පියවර ගත්තේය.
Former Minister Johnston Fernando Granted Bail Amid Corruption Allegations
Former Minister Johnston Fernando has been granted bail by Colombo's Chief Magistrate, Asanga S. Bodaragama, following his arrest on corruption charges that allegedly caused a loss to the government.
Fernando faces accusations of failing to adhere to proper procurement procedures while supplying chairs valued at Rs. 7.4 million to the Mahinada Rajapaksa Theatre in Kandy and Peliyagoda, resulting in a financial loss to the state.
The former minister was taken into custody earlier today in connection with these allegations. After being presented before the court, the magistrate ordered his release on bail, imposing a travel ban on Fernando as part of the conditions.
