හිටපු ජනාධිපති ආර්යා ශිරන්ති රාජපක්ෂ මහත්මිය විදේශගත වීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් රජය කිසිදු පළිගැනීමේ ක්රියාමාර්ගයක් නොගන්නා බවත්, අවශ්ය නම් ඇය ගුවන් තොටුපළේදීම රඳවා ගැනීමට හෝ ආපසු මෙරටට ගෙන්වා ගැනීමට හැකියාව තිබූ බවත් ප්රවාහන, මහාමාර්ග සහ සිවිල් ගුවන් සේවා අමාත්ය බිමල් රත්නායක මහතා ප්රකාශ කරයි.
ස්වර්ණවාහිනී නාලිකාවේ විකාශය වූ ‘රතු ඉර’ දේශපාලන සංවාදාත්මක වැඩසටහනට එක්වෙමින් අමාත්යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.
අමාත්යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, ඇයට එරෙහිව නීතිමය ක්රියාමාර්ග ක්රියාත්මක වෙමින් පවතින අවස්ථාවක ඇය රටින් පිටව යන විට කටුනායක ගුවන් තොටුපළේදීම ඇයව නතර කිරීමට ඕනෑ තරම් ඉඩකඩ තිබූ බවයි.
එමෙන්ම මේ වන විටත් ඇය රැඳී සිටින රටකින් ඇයව ආපසු ගෙන්වා ගැනීමට වුවද හැකියාව පවතින බවත්, ඇය සිංගප්පූරු පුරවැසිභාවය හිමි කාන්තාවක් නොවන බැවින් එරටින් අවසර ලබාගැනීමේ බාධාවක් පවා නොමැති බවත් හෙතෙම පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.
කෙසේ වෙතත්, වත්මන් රජය කිසිවිටෙකත් එවැනි ද්වේෂසහගත හෝ පළිගැනීමේ දේශපාලන ක්රියාමාර්ග අනුගමනය නොකරන බවත්, සියලු කටයුතු නිසි නීතිමය රාමුවට සහ සාමාන්ය ක්රමවේදයට අනුකූලව පමණක් සිදුකරන බවත් අමාත්ය බිමල් රත්නායක මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.
Former President Shiranthi Rajapaksa's Exile: Government Takes No Retaliatory Action
The Sri Lankan government has clarified that it will not take any retaliatory measures regarding the foreign residence of former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. Minister of Transport, Highways, and Civil Aviation Bimal Ratnayake emphasized that the authorities had the capability to detain her at the airport if necessary or to repatriate her to Sri Lanka.
This announcement came during Ratnayake's appearance on the politically-charged television program "Red Sun" aired on Swarnavahini.
He pointed out that at a time when legal actions are being pursued against her, there was always the opportunity to stop her from leaving the country at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
Furthermore, he noted that there currently exists the ability to bring her back from the country she is residing in. He stressed that since she is not a citizen of Singapore, there are no obstacles to obtaining permission from that country.
Despite these capabilities, Ratnayake reinforced that the current government has never engaged in politically charged or retaliatory actions against individuals and assured that all operations are conducted strictly within the legal framework and standard procedures.
