Severe Power Outages Affect Multiple Districts Across Sri Lanka
Residents across several districts in Sri Lanka are reporting sudden power outages, with widespread impacts felt in numerous areas. The extent of the outages and the specific causes remain officially unconfirmed by the Ceylon Electricity Board or the Ministry of Power and Energy.
These abrupt electrical disruptions are not only hampering daily life for citizens but also significantly affecting highway signal systems and routine business operations.
In response to the situation, Deputy Minister of Power, Arkam Ilyas, has stated that efforts are underway to restore power swiftly and efficiently.
