 ජාතික ජන බලවේගය සහාය දක්වන රයිගම් උඩුගහපත්තුව විවිධ සේවා සමූපකාර සමිතියේ සභාපති ඩී.එස්.කේ. වන්නිආරච්චි මහතා සිය ධුරයෙන් ඉල්ලා අස්වී තිබේ.

සමිතිය තුළ පවතින දැඩි දේශපාලන බලපෑම් සහ පරිපාලනමය අක්‍රමිකතා හේතුවෙන් තමන් මෙම තීරණය ගත් බව ඔහු පාලක සභාව වෙත යොමු කළ ඉල්ලා අස්වීමේ ලිපිය මඟින් පෙන්වා දෙයි.

2025 මාර්තු මාසයේ සිට සමිතිය සාර්ථක ගමනක නිරත වුවද, මෑතක සිට එල්ල වන බාහිර දේශපාලන මැදිහත්වීම් හමුවේ ස්වාධීනව කටයුතු කිරීමට බාධා පැමිණ ඇති බව සභාපතිවරයා සිය ලිපියෙන් අවධාරණය කරයි.

විශේෂයෙන්ම සහල් මිලදී ගැනීම්වලදී සිදුව ඇති බව කියන අක්‍රමිකතා, මූල්‍ය අවභාවිතයන් සහ අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩලයේ ඇතැම් සාමාජිකයන්ගේ අත්තනෝමතික ක්‍රියාකලාපයන් පිළිබඳව ඔහු එහිදී කරුණු අනාවරණය කර ඇත.

සමිතිය සතු සහල් තොග අලෙවි කිරීමේදී සිදුවූ රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 129කට අධික මූල්‍ය අලාභයක් සහ නීති විරෝධී ලෙස සහල් තොග නිකුත් කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද ඔහු සිය ලිපිය මඟින් චෝදනා එල්ල කර තිබේ.

මීට අමතරව, සමිතියේ තීරණ ගැනීමේ ක්‍රියාවලියට ඇතැම් පාර්ශවයන් විසින් සිදු කරන බලපෑම් හේතුවෙන් ආයතනයේ විනිවිදභාවය බිඳ වැටී ඇති බව ද සභාපතිවරයා පවසයි.

මෙම තත්ත්වය හමුවේ තවදුරටත් සභාපති ධුරයේ රැඳී සිටීම තම ප්‍රතිපත්තිවලට එකඟ නොවන බව පවසන වන්නිආරච්චි මහතා, තමන් සමඟ උප සභාපතිවරයා ද මෙම අසාධාරණ ක්‍රියාවන්ට විරෝධය පා ධුරයෙන් ඉල්ලා අස්වී ඇති බව වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කර ඇත.

Chairman of the National People’s Power Resigns Amid Political Pressure

D.S.K. Vanniarachchi, the Chairman of the National People’s Power support group for the Rajagiriya Upper Sathyaye, has stepped down from his position. His resignation, submitted in a letter to the governing board, cites intense political influence and administrative inefficiencies within the organization as the primary reasons for his decision.

Despite the organization being on a successful trajectory since March 2025, Vanniarachchi pointed out in his letter that recent external political interventions have hindered their ability to operate independently.

He highlighted issues regarding discrepancies in the procurement of rice, financial misappropriations, and the questionable activities of certain board members, informing the board of the troubling circumstances surrounding these matters.

The chairman alleged that the sales of rice stocks resulted in financial losses exceeding 12.9 million rupees, alongside accusations of the illegal distribution of rice consignments.

Furthermore, he indicated that outside pressures on the decision-making process have compromised the organization’s transparency and integrity.

In light of these developments, Vanniarachchi expressed that remaining in the chairmanship would not align with his principles. He also noted that the vice-chairman has resigned in protest against these unjust actions.
