කටුනායක ගුවන් තොට තව ලොකු කරයි...

කටුනායක බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන්තොටු පොළින් පිටත් වන ගුවන් මගීන් රැඳී සිටින පර්යන්තයේ ධාරිතාව පුළුල් කිරීම සඳහා වන යටිතල පහසුකම් සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ පරීක්ෂා කිරීමේ කවුලු 36ක් සහ මගී පර්යන්තයේ සිට ගුවන් යානා වෙත පිවිසීමේ දොරටු හයක් (06) සඳහා නව ගොඩනැගිල්ලක් ඉදිකිරීමේ ප්‍රසම්පාදන ක්‍රියාවලිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම පිණිස 2025-02-09 දින පැවති අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල රැස්වීමේදී අනුමැතිය ලබා දී ඇත. 

ඒ සඳහා සුදුසු කොන්ත්‍රාත්කරුවෙකු තෝරා ගැනීම පිණිස ජාත්‍යන්තර තරගකාරී ප්‍රසම්පාදන ක්‍රම වේදය අනුගමනය කරමින් ලංසු කැඳවා ඇති අතර, ලංසු තුනක් (03) ලැබී තිබේ. 

එම ලංසු ඇගයීමෙන් අනතුරුව ඉහළ මට්ටමේ ස්ථාවර ප්‍රසම්පාදන කමිටුව විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරනු ලැබ ඇති නිර්දේශය මත පදනම්ව, සාරානුකූල ප්‍රතිචාරාත්මක අවම ලංසුකරු වන M/s Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. වෙත ඇමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 7.26 ක මුදලකට (එකතු කළ අගය මත බදු රහිත ) සහ රුපියල් බිලියන 3.77 ක මුදලකට (එකතු කළ අගය මත බදු රහිත) එකී කොන්ත්‍රාත්තුව පිරිනැමීම පිණිස වරාය සහ සිවිල් ගුවන් සේවා අමාත්‍යතුමා ඉදිරිපත් කළ යෝජනාව අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩලය විසින් අනුමත කරන ලදී.

Expansion of Katunayake Airport Facilities Approved by Cabinet

The Sri Lankan Cabinet has approved the construction of a new terminal at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, aimed at enhancing the capacity of the passenger lounge. This decision, made during a ministerial meeting on February 9, 2025, includes the addition of 36 examination counters and six new access doors for passengers boarding the aircraft.

To select a suitable contractor for this significant project, an international competitive bidding process has been initiated, resulting in three bids being received. Following an evaluation of these proposals, the high-level procurement committee has recommended M/s Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. as the preferred bidder.

The Cabinet has agreed to award the contract to Maga Engineering for a total cost of USD 7.26 million (tax-exempt), along with Rs. 3.77 billion (tax-exempt) in local currency, based on the committee’s proposal presented by the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation.
