මාලිමා සංවිධායක අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නැයි විරෝධතා..

 

කොටගල ප්‍රාදේශිය සභාවේ ඊරෝස් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී පක්ෂයේ ස්වාධීන මන්ත්‍රී ගනේශන් රාජේන්ද්‍රන් මහතාට පහර දුන් ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ කොටගල ප්‍ර දේශයේ සංවිධෘයක සහ ඔහුගේ ආධාරකරුවා අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලෙස බල කරමින් ඊරෝස් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී පක්ෂයේ සහ ලේකම් ජීවන් රාජේන්ද්‍රන් මහතා ඇතුලු එම පක්ෂයෙ ආධාරකරුවන් පිරිසක් (23) දින කොටගල නගරයේ පිහිටි සංස්කාතික ශාලාව ඉදිරිපිට උද්ගෝෂණයක නිරත විය.

මෙම උද්ගෝෂණයේදි මාධ්‍යට අදහස් දැක්වු එම පක්ෂයේ මහ ලේකම් ජීවන් රාජේන්ද්‍රන් මහතා කියා සිටියේ පහර කෑමට ලක් වු එම මන්ත්‍රීවරයා තව දුරටත් කොටගල ප්‍රාදේශීය රෝහලේ නේවාසිකව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන බවයි.

කොටගල ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ උප සභාපතිනි ජේසුදාසන් යාහුල මේරිට (ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ) සභා රැස්විමේදි කථා නොකිරිමට සහ ඇය විසින් සිදු කලා යැයි කියන දූෂණ වංචා සම්බන්ධයෙන් තම මන්ත්‍රීවරයා කරුණු ඉදිරිපත් කිරිම නිසා ඔහුට පහර දී ඇති බවයි ජීවන් රාජේන්ද්‍රන් මහතා කියා සිටියේ.

ඊරෝස් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී පක්ෂයේ ප්‍රාදේශීය සභා මන්ත්‍රීවරයාද තමන්ට පහර දුන් බව පවසමින් චෝදනා ලබා සිටින ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ කොටගල ප්‍රදේශයේ සංවිධායක සහ ඔහුගේ ආධාරකරුවෙක්ද දිඹුල පතන පොලිසිය වෙත පැමිණිල්ලක් කර නාවලපිටිය දිස්ත්‍රික් මහ රෝහලේ නේවාසිකව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන බවත්, දෙපාර්ශවයේම පැමිණිලි ලැබී ඇති නිසා තිදෙනාම රෝහලෙන් බැහැර කිරිමෙන් පසු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන හැටන් මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරන බව දිඹුල පතන පොලිසියේ ස්ථානාධිපතිවරයා පැවසීය.

Political Tensions Erupt in Kotagala Following Assault on Independent MP

In a striking display of political discord, independent MP Ganeshan Rajendran from the Eros Democratic Party was assaulted by officials of the National People's Power in Kotagala. The incident occurred outside the cultural center located in the town as tensions escalated among party members.

Speaking at a protest organized by his party, the general secretary of the Eros Democratic Party, Jivan Rajendran, confirmed that the assaulted MP is currently receiving treatment at the Kotagala District Hospital. His condition is stable following the attack.

The vice-chairperson of the Kotagala Pradeshiya Sabha, Jesudasan Yahula Mary, who is also associated with the National People's Power, reportedly faced criticism from MP Rajendran during a council meeting regarding allegations of corruption. It is believed that this confrontation prompted the subsequent attack on him.

Following the incident, the local council member involved in the assault lodged a complaint, claiming that he too had been attacked. Both parties have since sought medical attention at the District General Hospital in Nawala Pitiya. The officer in charge of the Dimbulapathana police station stated that due to receipt of complaints from both sides, all individuals involved would be taken into custody and presented to the Hatton Magistrate's Court after receiving appropriate medical care.
