වී මිලදී ගැනීමේ ක්ෂේත්රය තුළ පවතින පෞද්ගලික ඒකාධිකාරය වැළැක්වීම සහ ගොවීන්ට සාධාරණ මිලක් සහතික කිරීම මෙම වැඩපිළිවෙළේ ප්රධාන අරමුණ බව මන්ත්රීවරයා පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.
පොලොන්නරුව ජාතික ක්රීඩාංගනයේ පැවැති 104 වැනි ජාත්යන්තර සමුපකාර දින ක්රීඩා උළෙලේ ත්යාග ප්රදානෝත්සවයට ප්රධාන ආරාධිත අමුත්තා ලෙස එක්වෙමින් ඔහු මේ බව ප්රකාශ කළේය.
සමුපකාර ව්යාපාරය ශක්තිමත් කිරීම මගින් පාරිභෝගිකයා මෙන්ම නිෂ්පාදකයා ද ආරක්ෂා කරගත හැකි බව ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.
Government Plans to Centralize Rice Purchasing System
Member of Parliament Padmasiri Bandara has revealed that the government is preparing to implement a system for purchasing rice through cooperative mechanisms, aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in the rice procurement process.
He emphasized that the primary goal of this initiative is to eliminate private monopolies in the rice market and ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their produce. This move is expected to provide a safety net for both consumers and producers alike.
Bandara made these remarks while attending the awards ceremony of the 104th International Cooperative Day celebrations held at the Polonnaruwa National Sports Complex, where he was a distinguished guest. The initiative is expected to create a more equitable rice market in the country.
He further underscored the importance of strengthening cooperative enterprises to protect the interests of both consumers and producers, highlighting the potential benefits of such a system for the agricultural community.
