නාවලපිටිය හා කොත්මලේ අදිටන විශ්‍රාමික ත්‍රිවිධ හමුව සාමුහිකය  ආසන සමුළුව අද නාවලපිටිය ජාතික ජන බලවේග සම්බන්ධීකරණ කාර්යාලයේදී ආරක්ෂක නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය අරුණ ජයසේකර , මහනුවර දිස්ත්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රණී තුෂාරි ජයසිංහ , නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රණී අනුෂ්කා තිලකරත්න ඇතුළු   විශාල පිරිසකගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වුණා,

එහිදී අදහස් දක්වමින් ආරක්ෂක නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය කරුණ ජයසේකර මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කළ සිටියේ ,

අපි මහජන ආණ්ඩුවක් , අපි හොඳ වැඩ තමයි ව්‍යවස්ථානුකූලව ප්‍රතිපත්ති ගරුකව සිදුකරන්නේ, විපක්ෂය හැමදාමත්ම ජාතික ජන බලවේගය ආණ්ඩුවේ හොඳ වැඩවලට විරුද්ධයි, ඒ නිසා බන්ධනාගාර කොමසාරිස්වරයා පත් කිරීම හා බෝගම්බර බන්ධනාගාරයේ යළි පිහිටවීම පිළිබඳ ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ මාධ්‍යප්‍රකාශකවරයා ඉදිරි දිනයකදී අදහස් දක්වන බවත් ප්‍රකාශ කළ සිටියහ. 

අපි බලයට පත්වුණු දවසෙ ඉඳන් ජාතික ආරක්ෂාව ඉහළින්ම  මට්ටමින් තහවුරු කරලා තියෙනවා, මහජන ආරක්ෂාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් යම් ප්‍රශ්නයක් අවස්ථානුකූලව ඇතිවෙලා තියෙනවා ඒවත් දැන් සමථයකට පත් කරලා තියෙනවා. 

එසේම මීගමුව  බන්ධනාගාර සිද්ධිය පිළිබඳ මේ වන විට විමර්ශනයක් සිදුවන මාධ්‍යයද අදහස් නිකුත් කිරීම සුදුසු නොවෙන බව තමන් විශ්වාස කරන බවත් වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළසිටියහ, 

 අධිකරණ අමාත්‍ය තුමන්ට එරෙහිව විපක්ෂය විසින් ගෙන එන විශ්වාසය පිළිබඳ අදහස් දක්වමින් නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී නී  අනුෂ්කාතිලකරන්න ප්‍රකාශ කර සිටියේ 

විශ්වාසය බංග වෙලා තියෙන්නේ ආණ්ඩුවෙ නෙමේ විපක්ෂයේ ..ඒ නිසා බංග වෙලා තියෙන විශ්වාසය හරි මොකක්හරි ගොඩනගාගන්න මොනවා හරි ටිකක් කරමින් ඉන්න්වා ඒක ආණ්ඩුවට අභියෝගයක් නෙමේ ජනතාව අපි සමඟ ඉන්නවා සරල උත්තරේ එච්චරයි. 

එසේම තේ ගම්මාන 500ක් ඇති කිරීමේ ජාතික වැඩපිළිවෙළ පිළිබඳ අදහස් දක්වමින් කරන ආණ්ඩු කරපු සමහර ක්‍රියාදාම නිසා ජනතාවට කඳුකර ප්‍රජාවට සිදුකරන වැඩපිළිවෙළ පිළිබඳ අවිශ්වාසයක් ඇති, නමුත් අපි ප්‍රායෝගිකව ඔප්පු කරලා තියෙනවා මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය නිවාරණය දිට්ටා ව්‍යසනයේ කළමනාකරණය කිරීම ජාතික සමගිය වර්ධනය කිරීම වගේ වැඩසටහන් සාර්ථකව සිදුකරලා තියෙනවා කියලා, ඒ හින්දා අභියෝග බොහොමයක් තියෙයි ඒත් ජනතාව සමග සහයෝගයෙන් ඉදිරියට යන්න අපට පුළුවන්. 

විශ්වාස භංගය පිළිබඳ අදහස් දැක්වූ මහනුවර දිස්ත්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රණී තුෂාරි ජයසිංහ මහත්මිය, 

පාර්ලිමේන්තුව කියන්නේ මහජන නියෝජිත ආයතනය ක්, ව්‍යවස්ථාදායකය, ඉතින් ව්‍යවස්ථානුකූලව තියෙන අයිතිය විපක්ෂය පාවිච්චි කරයි  ඒත් ඒක විශ්වාස භංගය නෙමෙයි මේ වන විට අධිකරණ ඇමතිවරයා කෙරෙහි රටේ සමාජයේ  විශ්වාසය වර්ධනයක් සිදුවෙලා තියෙන්නෙ යැයි ප්‍රකාශ කළ සිටියාය.

Political Assembly Addresses National Security Issues and Public Trust

In a significant gathering held at the National People's Power Coordination Office in Navalapitiya, senior officials including Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara and Parliamentarians Tushari Jayasinghe and Anushka Thilakarathna came together to discuss pressing matters concerning national security and public confidence.

During the session, Deputy Minister Jayasekara emphasized the government's commitment to conducting policies transparently and constitutionally. He remarked on the political opposition's persistent opposition to the initiatives of the National People's Power, highlighting upcoming discussions regarding the appointment of a new prison commissioner and the re-establishment of the Bogambara Prison.

Since assuming power, the government has reportedly maintained high standards of national security, addressing any existing public safety issues in a timely manner. Jayasekara noted, however, that the media's commentary on the recent incidents at the Magazine Prison is premature, stressing the ongoing investigations that should take precedence over public speculation.

Furthermore, addressing issues surrounding the opposition's trust in the judiciary, Parliamentarian Anushka Thilakarathna commented that the trust deficit extends beyond the government itself, implicating the opposition. She indicated that while the government faces its own challenges, the loyal support of the people remains steadfast.

In light of the government's ambitious plan to increase tea plantations by 500 in rural areas, there is a palpable concern among the hill-country community. Thilakarathna acknowledged that confidence issues stem from certain government actions, but pointed to successful programs in drug prevention and national unity as examples of progress. She expressed optimism about overcoming these challenges through cooperative efforts with the populace.

Finally, addressing the broad theme of trust within the political framework, Parliamentarian Tushari Jayasinghe outlined that Parliament serves as a representative body for the public and the Constitution must always guide its operations. She affirmed that while the opposition attempts to leverage constitutional rights, the current sentiment within society reflects a growing confidence in the judiciary amidst the ongoing political discourse.
