මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු මළ නිවසක මුදලට බූරු ගසන බවට කියන වීඩියෝවක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඇති වූ වාද විවාද හේතුවෙන් අත්තනගල්ල ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ පැවති මාසික මහා සභා රැස්වීම  දැඩි උණුසුම්කාරී ස්වභාවයක් ගත්තේය.

සර්වජන බලය පක්ෂයේ මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු විසින් ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු ඉලක්ක කරමින් මෙම චෝදනාව එල්ල කරන ලදී.

රාජ්‍ය අනුග්‍රහය ඇතිව මළ ගෙවල්වල මුදලට බූරු ගසන මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් සිටින බවත්, එවැනි දර්ශන ඇතුළත් වීඩියෝවක් සමාජ මාධ්‍යවල සංසරණය වන බවත් ඔහු සභාවේදී ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

ඊට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ අදාළ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, තමන් මළ නිවසක අසුන්ගෙන සිටින දර්ශනයක් වැරදි ලෙස අර්ථකථනය කරමින් තමන්ව අපහසුතාවයට පත් කිරීමට පිරිසක් උත්සාහ කරන බවයි.

'මම ගම් ප්‍රදේශයේ රාජ්‍ය අනුග්‍රහයෙන් බූරු ගහනව කියල වීඩියෝ දර්ශනයක් සමාජ මාධ්‍යයට තියෙනවා. පාරෙ වැටිල මැරිල හිටිය. අහිංසක මනුස්සයකුගේ අවමඟුලක් අපි කළේ. මළ ගෙදර රෑ හිටපු මිනිස්සු නිදා ගන්නවට මේක කළේ. ඔය වගේ දේවල් සමාජ මාධ්‍යයට දාන්න එපා. මිනිස්සුන්ට මඩ ගහන්න එපා." 

මේ අතර, අදාළ වීඩියෝව සමාජ මාධ්‍ය වෙත මුදා හැරියේ කවුරුන්ද යන්න සම්බන්ධයෙන් සභාවේ වත්මන් සභාපති දර්ශන විජේසිංහ මහතා සහ හිටපු සභාපති මෙන්ම වත්මන් මන්ත්‍රී ප්‍රියන්ත පුෂ්පකුමාර මහතා අතර ද දැඩි වාග් සංග්‍රාමයක් හටගත්තේය.

සභාපතිවරයා විසින් මෙම වීඩියෝව ප්‍රසිද්ධ කළ බවට ප්‍රියන්ත පුෂ්පකුමාර මහතා චෝදනා කළ අතර, සභාපතිවරයා එය ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කරමින් කියා සිටියේ තමන්ට ද එම වීඩියෝව ලැබුණේ වෙනත් පාර්ශ්වයකින් බවයි.

Heated Exchange Erupts at Attanagalla Local Government Meeting Over Controversial Video

The atmosphere at the monthly council meeting of the Attanagalla Pradeshiya Sabha turned dramatically tumultuous due to a contentious video allegedly showing a minister desecrating a corpse for money. This incident sparked a fervent debate among council members.

The accusations originated from a minister belonging to the Samajawadi Peramuna party, who targeted a member of the National People's Power party. He claimed that certain ministers known to have state patronage were involved in such unethical behavior, with the provocative video circulating broadly on social media.

In response, the implicated minister from the National People's Power party contended that his presence in a funeral home had been misinterpreted in an effort to discredit him. He asserted, "There is a video on social media alleging that I was desecrating a corpse for money in my village. I was not causing harm; instead, I was there to help those who were sleeping at the funeral home. Please refrain from sharing such accusations on social media, as they tarnish individuals' reputations."

Amidst the discourse, the current chairperson of the council, Darshana Wijesinghe, and former chairperson Priyantha Pushpakumara became embroiled in a heated argument regarding the source of the video. Pushpakumara accused the chairperson of being responsible for the video's dissemination, a claim that the chairperson vehemently denied, asserting that he received it from an unnamed third party.

The exchange intensified as both parties pointed fingers at each other, drawing the involvement of other members from the National People's Power and various political factions, resulting in a considerable uproar within the council chamber that lasted for several minutes.
