ලිදුල පොලිස් වසමට අයත් ෆාමස්ටන් තේ වත්තේ වැඩ කරමින් සිටි වතු කම්කරුවන් පිරිසකට (31) දින එල්ල වූ බඹර ප්‍රහාරයකින් 61 හැවිරිදි වතු කම්කරුවෙකු ජිවිතක්ෂයට පත් වී තවත් පස් දෙනෙකු ලිදුල ප්‍රාදේශීය රෝහල වෙත ඇතුලත් කල බව ලිදුල පොලිසියේ නිළධාරියෙකු පැවසිය.

එම වත්තේ ගසක බැද තිබූ බඹර කූඩුවක් ඇවිස්සී තේ වත්තේ වැඩ කරමින් සිටි වතු කම්කරුවන්ට (31) දින උදෑසන 10:00ට පමණ පහර දී තුවාල සිදු කර ඇති බවත්, ලිදුල ප්‍රාදේශීය රෝහල වෙත ඇතුලත් කල සෙසු තුවාලකරුවන්ගේ තත්වය බරපතල නිසා එම තුවාලකරුවන් නුවරඑලිය දිස්ත්‍රික් මහ රෝහල වෙත මාරු කර යැවූ බව බඹර ප්‍රහාරය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පරික්ෂණ පවත්වන ලිදුල පොලිසියේ නිළධාරියා වැඩි දුරටත් කියා සිටියා.

Tragic Bumblebee Attack Claims Life of Tea Estate Worker in Liddula

A tragic incident unfolded at a tea estate in Liddula, where a violent attack by bumblebees resulted in one man's death and injured several others. The attack occurred on the morning of the 31st, around 10:00 AM, while a group of tea workers was laboring in the fields. According to a police official, the victims were stung by a swarm of bumblebees that had established a nest in a tree nearby.

The police confirmed that one of the workers, a 61-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted to the local hospital. The condition of the other injured workers is critical, necessitating their transfer to the major district hospital in Nuwara Eliya for advanced medical care.

This unfortunate event has raised concerns about the safety of agricultural workers and the presence of dangerous wildlife in the area. Investigations are currently underway by the Liddula police to determine further details about the incident.
