 තමන් ද අතීතයේදී ඉතා දුෂ්කර ජීවන තත්ත්වයක් යටතේ හැදී වැඩුණු අයෙකු බවත්, තමන්ගේ පවුලට ද නිසි නිවසක් පවා නොතිබූ බවත් අමාත්‍ය සමන්ත විද්‍යාරත්න මහතා පවසයි.

අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේ උත්සවයක් අමතමිනි.

එහිදී සිය අතීතය පිළිබඳව සංවේදී අතීතාවර්ජනයක යෙදුණු අමාත්‍යවරයා, තම මව රුපියල් 7,500ක නිවාස ණය මුදලක් ලබාගෙන නිවසක් තැනීමට ගත් උත්සාහය පිළිබඳව විස්තර කළේය.

පාසල් යන වයසේ පසුවූ තමන් ඇතුළු දරුවන්, මව සමඟ එක්ව කන්ද උඩින් ගල් පෙරළාගෙන විත්, ගඩොල් කපා, ඔයෙන් වැලි ගොඩ දමා එම නිවස ඉදි කළ ආකාරය ඔහු සිහිපත් කළේය.

එම ණය මුදල පියවීම සඳහා වසර ගණනාවක් පුරා මහත් වෙහෙසක් දැරීමට සිදු වූ බව ද ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.

මෙම අත්දැකීම් පදනම් කරගනිමින් වත්මන් රජයේ අරමුණු පැහැදිලි කළ අමාත්‍යවරයා, ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතාගේ නායකත්වයෙන් යුත් රජය "පොහොසත් රටක් - ලස්සන ජීවිතයක්" නිර්මාණය කිරීම සඳහා කැපවී සිටින බව අවධාරණය කළේය.

රටේ පවතින නාස්තිය සහ දූෂණය නතර කර, දේශපාලනඥයන් භුක්ති විඳින අනවශ්‍ය සැප සම්පත් කප්පාදු කර ජනතාවට සහන සැලසීම තම රජයේ ප්‍රමුඛතම කාර්යය බව ද ඔහු මෙහිදී ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

Minister Samantha Vithyaratne Reflects on His Humble Beginnings

In an emotional address, Minister Samantha Vithyaratne shared insights about his challenging upbringing, revealing that he grew up under difficult living conditions, without even a proper home for his family.

Speaking at a recent event, the minister recounted his past struggles, focusing particularly on how his mother took a loan of 7,500 rupees to build their first house. He reflected on the arduous efforts that he and his siblings made alongside their mother, lifting stones, cutting bricks, and hauling sand to erect their home.

Vithyaratne noted that repaying that loan required years of hard work and sacrifice. Drawing from these experiences, he emphasized the commitment of the current government, led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, to create "a prosperous nation and a beautiful life" for all citizens.

He also addressed the pressing issues of corruption and mismanagement in the country, stating that the foremost duty of his administration is to cut unnecessary luxuries enjoyed by politicians and provide relief to the people.
