සමුපකාර නිලවරණය කල් දමයි.. පරාජයට බියෙන් කියා විරෝධතා..

 වාරියපොල විවිධ සේවා සමුපකාර සමිතියේ වත්මන් පාලනාධිකාරිය විසින් එහි නිලවරණය කල් දැමීමට කටයුතු කර ඇති බව පවසමින්, ඊට එරෙහිව ඒකාබද්ධ කණ්ඩායමේ අපේක්ෂකයින් සහ ආධාරකරුවන් පිරිසක් (15) වාරියපොල නගරයේදී විරෝධතාවයක නිරත වූහ.

විරෝධතාකරුවන් චෝදනා කර සිටින්නේ වත්මන් මාලිමා පාලනාධිකාරිය පරාජයට ඇති බිය හේතුවෙන් මෙලෙස නිලවරණය කල් දමා ඇති බවයි.

වාරියපොල නගර මධ්‍යයේ සිට විරෝධතා පුවරු ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරමින් පෙළපාලියකින් පැමිණි පිරිස, සමුපකාර ප්‍රධාන කාර්යාලය ඉදිරිපිටදී සිය විරෝධය පළ කළහ.

මෙම අවස්ථාවට හිටපු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී තුෂාර ඉඳුනිල් මහතා සහ වාරියපොල ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ විපක්ෂ මන්ත්‍රී ජයතිස්ස මාතුගුර මහතා ඇතුළු පිරිසක් එක්ව සිටියහ.

වහාම නිලවරණය පවත්වා ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය සුරක්ෂිත කරන ලෙස විරෝධතාකරුවෝ මෙහිදී බලධාරීන්ගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියහ.

එල්ල වන චෝදනා සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් දැක්වූ වාරියපොල සමුපකාර සමිතියේ සභාපති ධර්මප්‍රිය බණ්ඩාර මහතා සඳහන් කළේ, නිලවරණය කල් දැමීම පාලක මණ්ඩලය විසින් ගත් තීරණයක් නොව, එය පළාත් සමුපකාර කොමසාරිස්වරයා විසින් ගනු ලැබූ තීරණයක් බවයි.

තමන්ට ජයග්‍රහණය පිළිබඳ කිසිදු සැකයක් නොමැති බවත්, දැනටමත් නියෝජිතයින් 13 දෙනෙකු නිතරගයෙන් තේරී පත්වී ඇති බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

Protest Erupts in Wariyapola Over Delayed Local Government Elections

A group of 15 candidates and supporters staged a protest in Wariyapola, expressing their discontent over the postponement of local elections by the current governing body of the Wariyapola Cooperative Society. They allege that the delay is driven by the governing administration's fear of defeat.

Demonstrators marched through the center of Wariyapola, carrying protest placards, before rallying in front of the main cooperative office to voice their objections.

Among the attendees were former parliamentarian Tushara Indunil and opposition member of the Wariyapola Pradeshiya Sabha, Jayatissa Mathugura. The protesters called on authorities to proceed with the elections promptly to safeguard democracy.

Dharmapriya Bandara, the chairman of the Wariyapola Cooperative Society, addressed the concerns surrounding the allegations, clarifying that the decision to postpone the election was not made by the governing council but rather by the provincial cooperative commissioner.

He emphasized that there is no doubt about their chances of victory, pointing out that 13 representatives have already been elected unopposed to date.
