එක පෑන් පාරින් කරන්න බෑ..- නලින්ද

ආර්ථික වශයෙන් අඩපණ වූ සහ විනාශයට පත්ව තිබූ රටක් භාරගත් වත්මන් රජය, කිසිදු අමතර ආර්ථික පීඩනයක් ජනතාව මත පටවන්නේ නැතිව රට ස්ථාවර මට්ටමකට ගෙන ඒමට සමත්ව ඇති බව සෞඛ්‍ය සහ ජනමාධ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා පවසයි.

මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, 2024 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයට පෙර මෙරට ආර්ථිකය පැවතියේ ඉතා අවදානම් අඩියක බවයි.

පසුගිය නොවැම්බර් මාසයේ ඇති වූ ගංවතුර තත්ත්වයෙන් මෙරට ජනගහනයෙන් සියයට 11ක් පීඩාවට පත්වීම සහ මැදපෙරදිග පවතින අර්බුදකාරී වාතාවරණය හමුවේ වුවද, රජය ඉතා ප්‍රායෝගිකව ආර්ථිකය කළමනාකරණය කරමින් සිටින බව ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.

බොහෝ පිරිස් ත්‍රස්තවාදය වැළැක්වීමේ පනත අහෝසි කරන ලෙස ප්‍රකාශ කළ ද, එය හුදෙක් එක පෑන් පහරින් කළ හැකි සරල කටයුත්තක් නොවන බව අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කළේය.

"නීති ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීම සහ පනත් අහෝසි කිරීම කියන්නේ ඉතා සංකීර්ණ ක්‍රියාවලියක්. ත්‍රස්තවාදය වැළැක්වීමේ පනත අහෝසි කිරීමේ කටයුතු මේ වන විට අවසන් අදියරේ පවතිනවා. අපි පොරොන්දු වූ පරිදිම එය ඉටු කරනවා," යැයි ඔහු පැවසීය.

ත්‍රස්තවාදය වැළැක්වීමේ පනත අහෝසි කිරීමෙන් පසු ඇති වන නීතිමය හිඩැස පිරවීම සඳහා සංවිධානාත්මක අපරාධ වැළැක්වීමේ පනත නමින් නව පනත් කෙටුම්පතක් සකස් කරමින් පවතින බව ද අමාත්‍යවරයා අනාවරණය කළේය.

හිටපු අධිකරණ අමාත්‍යවරයෙකුගේ පුත්‍රයෙකු පාතාල නායකයෙකු සමඟ සිදුකළ ගනුදෙනුවක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාර ගතව සිටීම පිළිබඳව ද අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා, එවැනි සංවිධානාත්මක අපරාධ සහ දූෂිත ගනුදෙනු මැඩලීම සඳහා ශක්තිමත් නීතිමය රාමුවක අවශ්‍යතාවය පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

පසුගිය රජයන් විවිධ පොරොන්දු ලබා දුන්න ද ඒවා ක්‍රියාවට නැංවීමට අපොහොසත් වූ බවත්, වත්මන් රජය ජනතාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් සුරක්ෂිත කරමින් ඉතා ප්‍රායෝගිකව ඉදිරියට යන බවත් අමාත්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කර සිටියේය.

Government Claims Economic Stabilization Amidst Challenges

The current government, which inherited a country in economic decline and devastation, has reportedly succeeded in stabilizing the nation without imposing additional financial burdens on the populace, according to Minister of Health and Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

In comments made to the media, the Minister highlighted that the Sri Lankan economy was facing extremely precarious conditions before September 2024.

Despite recent challenges, including severe flooding in November that affected 11% of the population and the ongoing crisis in the central regions, the government has been managing the economy in a practical manner, he stated.

While many have called for the repeal of anti-terrorism laws, the Minister emphasized that doing so is not a simple one-step process. "Reforming laws and repealing acts is a highly complex procedure. The process for repealing the anti-terrorism law is now in its final stages, and we are committed to carrying it out as promised," he explained.

He also revealed that in order to address the legal vacuum left by the repeal of the anti-terrorism law, a new draft bill called the Organized Crime Prevention Act is currently being formulated.

In discussing the controversial detention of a former minister's son linked to an underworld leader, the Minister underscored the urgent need for a robust legal framework to curtail organized crime and corruption.

Dr. Jayatissa remarked that while previous governments had made various commitments, they had failed to implement them effectively. He reaffirmed that the current administration is making practical strides to safeguard the rights of the people and move forward positively.
