අතීතයේ සිටම පාතාල නායකයන් සහ දේශපාලනඥයන් අතර පැවති සබඳතා පිළිබඳව උදාහරණ ගෙනහැර දැක්වූ මන්ත්රීවරයා, වත්මන් රජය මත්ද්රව්ය සහ පාතාලය මර්දනය කිරීමට ගෙන යන වැඩපිළිවෙළ හමුවේ මෙම ජාලයන් සහ ඒවායේ දේශපාලන සබඳතා අනාවරණය වෙමින් පවතින බව ප්රකාශ කළේය.
එම අනාවරණයන් වැළැක්වීමට සහ රජය අපහසුතාවයට පත් කිරීමට මෙවැනි කුමන්ත්රණකාරී ක්රියාවන් මෙහෙයවන බවට ඔහු චෝදනා කළේය.
"මේවා ඉබේ සිද්ධ වෙන දේවල් නෙමෙයි. දේශපාලන බලය වෙනුවෙන් පාස්කු ප්රහාරය වැනි දෑ පවා නිර්මාණය කළ හැකි නම්, මෙවැනි බන්ධනාගාර ගැටුම් පිටුපස ඇති කුමන්ත්රණකාරී ස්වභාවය තේරුම් ගැනීම අපහසු නැහැ," යැයි ද මන්ත්රීවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

Speaking on the Derana talk show 'Wadapitiya', he emphasized that the latest clashes represent a stark escalation from previous altercations involving prison officials.
According to Bandara, this conflict stems from a struggle between drug networks and rival factions within the underworld, underscored by significant political affiliations. He pointed out longstanding relationships between underworld leaders and political figures, suggesting that the current government’s crackdown on drug-related activities and organized crime is shedding light on these underlying connections.
He also raised concerns that such conspiratorial actions are being maneuvered to thwart governmental efforts and create obstacles for the administration. "Incidents like these are not new. If political power can inspire the orchestration of events as heinous as the Easter attacks, it is not difficult to grasp the conspiracy behind these prison conflicts," Bandara remarked, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
