නීතිවිරෝධී ගිනි අවියක් ළඟ තබා ගැනීමේ චෝදනාව මත සමගි ජන බලවේගය නියෝජනය කරන අම්බලන්ගොඩ ප්‍රාදේශීය සභා මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු ගාල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික් අපරාධ විමර්ශන අංශය මඟින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ.

සැකකාර මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සන්තකයේ තිබී නීතිවිරෝධී 'රිපීටර්' වර්ගයේ ගිනි අවියක් පොලිසිය විසින් සොයාගෙන ඇත.

මෙම ගිනි අවිය ඔහුට ලැබුණේ කෙසේද යන්න සහ මෙය මීට පෙර යම් අපරාධ ක්‍රියාවක් සඳහා යොදාගෙන තිබේද යන්න පිළිබඳව පොලිස් විමර්ශකයෝ මේ වන විට පුළුල් පරීක්ෂණයක් ආරම්භ කර සිටිති.

Local Politician Arrested for Possession of Illegal Firearm

A member of the Amblangoda Urban Council, representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya party, has been apprehended by the Galle District Criminal Investigation Division on charges of possessing an illegal firearm.

The suspect was found in possession of a 'repeater' type firearm, which is prohibited under current laws.

Authorities are conducting a comprehensive investigation to determine how the politically affiliated individual acquired the weapon and whether it has been previously used in any criminal activities.

Further investigations are underway.
