අදාළ රථය මාර්ගය මැද නතර වීම හේතුවෙන් එක් මන්තීරුවක් සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම අවහිර වී ඇති අතර, මේ හේතුවෙන් එම මාර්ගයේ ගමනාගමන කටයුතුවලට මේ වනවිට යම්තාක් දුරට බාධා පැමිණ ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ.

උඩරට දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ කඩුගන්නාව සහ රඹුක්කන අතර නායගිය ස්ථාන ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීමේ කටයුතු සඳහා අවශ්‍ය දුම්රිය එන්ජිමක්, මහනුවර සිට පේරාදෙණිය දුම්රිය ස්ථානය දක්වා ප්‍රවාහනය කරමින් තිබියදී මෙම අනපේක්ෂිත කාර්මික දෝෂය හටගෙන ඇත.

මාර්ගයේ අවහිරතාව ඉවත් කර ගමනාගමනය යථා තත්ත්වයට පත් කිරීම සඳහා මේ වනවිට කටයුතු යොදමින් පවතී.

Rail Traffic Disrupted Due to Mechanical Failure of Special Transport Vehicle

A special lorry transporting a train engine from Mahanuwara railway station to Peradeniya has encountered a mechanical fault, causing significant disruptions along the Peradeniya-Penideniya route.

The vehicle's unexpected stoppage has completely blocked one lane of the road, leading to reports of traffic disturbances affecting movement in the area.

This incident occurred while the train engine was being transported for restoration work on the track between Kadugannawa and Rambukkana. The mechanical failure arose during its transit from Mahanuwara to Peradeniya railway station.

Efforts are currently underway to clear the obstruction and restore normal traffic flow on the route.
