යාපනය දිස්ත්රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී රාමනාදන් අර්චුනා මහතා අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙස දන්වමින් කොටුව මහේස්ත්රාත් අධිකරණය අද වරෙන්තු නිකුත් කළේය.
පොලිස් නිලධාරීන්ගේ රාජකාරියට බාධා කිරීමේ සිද්ධියක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඔහුට එරෙහිව පවරා ඇති නඩුව අද කැඳවූ අවස්ථාවේදී මන්ත්රීවරයා අධිකරණය හමුවේ පෙනී නොසිටීම හේතුවෙන් මහේස්ත්රාත්වරයා මෙම නියෝගය නිකුත් කර තිබේ.
ඒ අනුව අදාළ සැකකාර මන්ත්රීවරයා වහාම අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙස පොලිසියට නියම කෙරිණි.
Arrest Warrant Issued for Jaffna Parliamentarian Archunan Ramanadan
In a significant development, the Kotuwe Mahavithanaya Magistrate's Court has issued an arrest warrant for Jaffna District Parliamentarian Archunan Ramanadan, directing law enforcement to present him before the court.
This warrant comes in connection with a case involving the obstruction of police officers while they were performing their duties. The court issued this directive after the parliamentarian failed to appear during the proceedings held today.
Consequently, the police have been instructed to take the necessary actions to apprehend the parliamentarian and bring him before the court immediately.
*Note: In case of any discrepancy between the Sinhala and English versions, the Sinhala version shall prevail.

ReplyDeleteLaw is different for Jagath Manuwarna. The same offense committed by him resulted in his release without any hindrance. These magistrates are devaluing the public’s trust and confidence in the rule of law. It is very dangerous.
