US Military Faces Missile Shortage as Tensions Rise with Iran

A senior official from Iran has warned that the United States does not possess a sufficient stockpile of missiles to engage in a full-scale war with the nation, raising alarm about the potential limitations of military operations against Tehran.

The official indicated that the rapid depletion of missile supplies at the Pentagon could restrict the scope of any offensive measures launched against Iran.

As American bomber aircraft continue to be deployed to the Middle East, reports suggest President Donald Trump is weighing options for a broader military conflict with Iran.

Concerns have emerged regarding the effectiveness of these operations due to shortages in air defense and long-range missile capabilities.

"We do not have enough weaponry to sustain operations over the long term. It remains questionable whether the White House fully understands this," the official disclosed to the Washington Post.

In the wake of recent Iranian attacks that resulted in the deaths of three American soldiers, tensions between the two nations have escalated. Among the deceased were Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, 25, and Private Isabella Gonzalez, 19.

In response, the United States has conducted ongoing strikes against multiple cities in Iran while the latter has launched missile attacks targeting Bahrain, Jordan, and sites within Syria.

Furthermore, Tehran has accused the U.S. of targeting a nuclear facility under construction in southern Iran known as 'Darkowin', although the International Atomic Energy Agency has stated that this attack did not pose any radiological threat. Two oil tankers traveling through the Hormuz Strait have also been reported to have suffered explosions, with Iran's Revolutionary Guard claiming that no vessels, whether for oil or gas, can travel safely in the region due to ongoing American aggression.

Despite the deteriorating military climate, both sides reportedly continue to engage in clandestine diplomatic discussions. The U.S. Secretary of State has noted that channels for dialogue with Iran remain open. However, recent polls show a decline in public approval for President Trump, with only 37% of Americans expressing support regarding his handling of the conflict and rising fuel prices.

According to Pentagon reports, it could take years to produce key missile types like Tomahawk and Patriot. Should current stocks be exhausted, the U.S. could face a severe crisis.
