ඇමරිකාවෙන් ඉරානයට දරුණු ගුවන් ප‍්‍රහාර..

 හෝමුස් සමුද්‍ර සන්ධියේදී සයිප්‍රස් ධජය සහිත 'M/V GFS Galaxy' වෙළඳ නෞකාවට ඉරාන විප්ලවීය ආරක්ෂක බලකාය (IRGC) විසින් එල්ල කරන ලද ප්‍රහාරයට ප්‍රතිචාර වශයෙන්, ඇමරිකානු මධ්‍යම විධානය (CENTCOM) ඉරාන හමුදා ඉලක්ක වෙත දැවැන්ත ප්‍රහාර මාලාවක් එල්ල කර තිබේ.

මෙය මෙම සතිය තුළ ඇමරිකාව විසින් ඉරානය ඉලක්ක කර එල්ල කළ තෙවන ප්‍රහාරය ලෙස වාර්තා වේ.

ඇමරිකානු මධ්‍යම විධානය නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් සඳහන් කරන්නේ, ඉරාන විප්ලවීය ආරක්ෂක බලකාය විසින් එල්ල කරන ලද මෙම නින්දිත ප්‍රහාරය හේතුවෙන් අදාළ වෙළඳ නෞකාවේ ගින්නක් හටගෙන ඇති අතර එහි එන්ජින් පද්ධතියට දැඩි හානි සිදුව ඇති බවයි. මෙම සිදුවීමෙන් නෞකාවේ සේවය කළ සිවිල් කාර්ය මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයෙකු අතුරුදන්ව ඇති බවද එම නිවේදනයේ වැඩිදුරටත් දැක්වේ.

හෝමුස් සමුද්‍ර සන්ධිය හරහා නෞකා ගමනාගමනය සඳහා ආරක්ෂිත සහ බදු රහිත මාවතක් සහතික කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් 2026 ජූනි මාසයේදී ඇති කරගත් එකඟතාවය ඉරානය විසින් මෙලෙස අමු අමුවේ උල්ලංඝනය කර ඇති බව ඇමරිකානු බලධාරීන් පෙන්වා දෙයි. 

මීට පෙරද වෙළඳ නෞකාවලට එල්ල කළ ප්‍රහාර සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඉරානයට අවස්ථා කිහිපයකදීම අනතුරු ඇඟවීම් සිදු කර තිබුණද, ඔවුන් දිගින් දිගටම ජාත්‍යන්තර නාවික නීති උල්ලංඝනය කරමින් සිටින බව ඇමරිකාව චෝදනා කරයි.

ඇමරිකානු සේනාධිනායකයාගේ සෘජු නියෝගය මත ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ මෙම ප්‍රහාර මාලාව මගින්, සිවිල් නාවිකයන්ට සහ වෙළඳ නෞකාවලට ප්‍රහාර එල්ල කිරීමට ඉරානය සතු හැකියාව අඩපණ කිරීම අරමුණු කර ඇත.

US Launches Series of Strikes Against Iranian Targets Following Attack on Merchant Vessel

In a swift response to an assault on the merchant vessel 'M/V GFS Galaxy,' which sails under the Cypriot flag and was reportedly attacked by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has unleashed a series of substantial strikes on Iranian military positions.

This week’s operation marks the third U.S. strike against Iranian targets in retaliation for hostile actions.

A statement from CENTCOM revealed that the IRGC’s recent attack caused a significant fire aboard the commercial vessel and severely damaged its engine system. Notably, it was reported that a civilian crew member aboard the ship has gone missing in the aftermath of the attack.

U.S. officials have underscored that Iran's actions represent a blatant violation of an agreement established in June 2026 to ensure safe and tax-free passage for vessels navigating through the Strait of Hormuz.

Previous incidents involving assaults on commercial ships led to several warnings issued to Iran; however, the United States maintains that Iran continues to flout international maritime law.

This series of targeted strikes, executed under direct orders from U.S. military leadership, aims to degrade Iran's capability to threaten civilian sailors and merchant vessels.

CENTCOM has reiterated its commitment to taking decisive action against any party that obstructs freedom of navigation in international waters.
