හිටපු ඇමතිගේ නිවසට හොරු පනී..

 හිටපු කැබිනට් අමාත්‍ය නන්දිමිත්‍ර ඒකනායක මහතාගේ මාතලේ, මල්වත්ත පාරේ පිහිටි නිවස බිඳ රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 10කට ආසන්න වටිනාකමකින් යුත් දේපළ සහ රන් භාණ්ඩ රැසක් සොරාගෙන ඇති බව මාතලේ පොලිසිය පවසයි.

හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයාගේ පුත්‍රයෙකු වන හිටපු පළාත් සභා මන්ත්‍රී චින්තන ඒකනායක මහතා විසින් මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් පොලිසියට පැමිණිලි කර තිබේ.

එම පැමිණිල්ලට අනුව, රුපියල් 960,800ක් වටිනා විදේශ මුදල් නෝට්ටු සහ විවිධ දේපළ මෙන්ම, මෙතෙක් වටිනාකම තක්සේරු කර නොමැති රන් භාණ්ඩ රැසක් ද සොරුන් විසින් රැගෙන ගොස් ඇත.

හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයා රෝගාතුර වීම හේතුවෙන් ප්‍රතිකාර ලබාගැනීම සඳහා පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන් සමඟ පසුගිය 06 වැනිදා කොළඹ බලා ගොස් ඇති අතර, සොරකම සිදුව ඇත්තේ නිවස වසා දමා තිබූ එම කාලය තුළදීය.

පසුගිය 06 වැනිදා සිට 20 වැනිදා දක්වා වූ කාලය තුළ කිසියම් පුද්ගලයෙකු හෝ පිරිසක් නිවසේ මුළුතැන්ගෙයි දොරක් කඩා ඇතුළු වී මෙම සොරකම සිදුකර ඇති බවට පොලිසිය සැක කරයි.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් මාතලේ පොලිසිය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන කටයුතු ආරම්භ කර තිබේ.

Burglary at Former Minister's Home in Matale Results in Significant Loss

The residence of former Cabinet Minister Nandimithra Ekanayake, located on Malwatta Road in Matale, has been the target of a burglary resulting in losses valued at approximately 10 million rupees, along with a large quantity of gold items, according to local police.

The complaint was lodged by his son, Chinthana Ekanayake, a former provincial council member, who reported the theft to the authorities.

The burglars are said to have made off with foreign currency notes worth 960,800 rupees, as well as various personal belongings and numerous gold items whose value has yet to be assessed.

During this incident, the former minister was receiving medical treatment in Colombo, accompanied by family members, following a health-related issue that arose on the 6th of this month. The burglary reportedly took place while the house was locked and unoccupied during that time.

Police suspect that an individual or group may have broken into the house's kitchen door to carry out the theft sometime between the 6th and the 20th of this month.

Investigations into the incident have begun, as the Matale police seek to uncover further details surrounding the case.
