විනිසුරු වයසින් මාලිමාව දෙකඩයි.. ලොකු කෑල්ල පක්‍ෂයි..

 

විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ විශ්‍රාම වයස දීර්ඝ කිරීමට රජය ගෙන ඇති තීරණය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජාතික ජන බලවේගය තුළ දැඩි මතභේදයක් හටගෙන ඇති බව අද (30) 'ලංකාදීප' පුවත්පත වාර්තා කරයි.

පක්ෂයේ ඇතැම් ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨයන් මෙම තීරණය දැඩි ලෙස විවේචනය කර ඇති බව විශ්වාස කටයුතු ආරංචි මාර්ග උපුටා දක්වමින් එම පුවත්පත පෙන්වා දෙයි.

ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ විධායක සභික සහ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නීතිඥ ලාල් විජේනායක මහතා රජයේ මෙම තීරණයට සිය සෘජු විරෝධය පළ කර ඇත.

විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ විශ්‍රාම වයස දීර්ඝ කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ නායකත්ව මණ්ඩලය හෝ විධායක සභාව මෙතෙක් නිල තීරණයක් ගෙන නොමැති බවත්, මෙය ඇතැම් පුද්ගලයන්ගේ පෞද්ගලික යෝජනාවක් විය හැකි බවත් ඔහු සඳහන් කර තිබේ.

තමා මේ පිළිබඳව විරෝධය පළ කළ අවස්ථාවේදී නිහඬව සිටින ලෙස තමාට දැනුම් දුන් බවද විජේනායක මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් අනාවරණය කර ඇත.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් ලංකාදීපය කළ විමසීමකදී ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ ලේකම්, පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී වෛද්‍ය නිහල් අබේසිංහ මහතා පවසා ඇත්තේ ඉහළ විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ විශ්‍රාම වයස දීර්ඝ කිරීමේ යෝජනාවට පක්ෂයේ බහුතරයකගේ එකඟතාව හිමිව ඇති බවයි.

ලාල් විජේනායක මහතාගේ මතයට පක්ෂයේ බොහෝ පිරිසක් එකඟ නොවන නමුත්, ඔහුගේ අදහස් ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමට කිසිවකු බාධා කර නොමැති බවත්, ඔහුට නිහඬව සිටින ලෙස දැනුම් දී නොමැති බවත් මන්ත්‍රීවරයා අවධාරණය කර තිබේ.

මේ අතර, විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ විශ්‍රාම වයස දීර්ඝ කිරීමේ තීරණයට ශ්‍රී ලංකා නීතිඥ සංගමය මෙන්ම මෙරට මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරුන් සහ දිසා විනිසුරුවරුන් නියෝජනය කරන අධිකරණ සේවා සංගමය ද සිය දැඩි විරෝධය පළ කර ඇත. මෙම තීරණයට එරෙහිව ගත හැකි උපරිම ක්‍රියාමාර්ග ගැනීමට නීතිඥ සංගමය පසුගියදා තීරණය කර ඇති බවද වාර්තා වේ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා නීතිඥ සංගමයේ නියෝජිතයන් සහ අධිකරණ හා ජාතික ඒකාබද්ධතා අමාත්‍ය නීතිඥ හර්ෂණ නානායක්කාර මහතා අතර මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් විශේෂ සාකච්ඡාවක්ද පවත්වා ඇත. එහිදී නීතිඥ සංගමය ඉදිරිපත් කළ ඉල්ලීම් පිළිබඳව ජනාධිපතිවරයා දැනුවත් කිරීමට පියවර ගන්නා බවට අමාත්‍යවරයා පොරොන්දු වී ඇත.

Disagreement Erupts Within National People's Power Over Extension of Judges' Retirement Age

Reports indicate a significant rift has emerged within the National People's Power (NPP) regarding the government's recent decision to extend the retirement age for judges. The local newspaper, 'Lankadeepa,' highlighted this internal discord on the 30th.

Several senior members of the party have sharply criticized this decision, as revealed by credible sources. Lal Wijenayaka, an executive committee member and senior attorney within the NPP, has openly expressed his opposition to the government's stance on this matter.

Wijenayaka further noted that there has been no official decision made by the party's leadership or executive committee regarding the extension of judges' retirement age, suggesting that it could merely represent the personal views of certain individuals.

He disclosed that he was instructed to remain silent during discussions concerning his opposition to the proposed changes.

In contrast, NPP Secretary and MP Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe stated in response to inquiries from 'Lankadeepa' that a majority within the party supports the proposal to extend the retirement age for senior judges.

While Wijenayaka may not share this consensus, Dr. Abeysinghe emphasized that no one was prohibited from voicing their opinions, and he was not advised to remain silent.

Additionally, both the Sri Lanka Bar Association and the Court Services Association, which represents magistrates and district judges across the country, have voiced strong opposition to the decision regarding judges' retirement age. Reports suggest that the Bar Association has resolved to explore all possible courses of action against this decision.

A special discussion was also held between representatives of the Bar Association and Attorney General Harshana Nanayakkara, who assured that steps would be taken to inform the President about the concerns raised by legal practitioners.
