 හිටපු අමාත්‍ය මර්වින් සිල්වා මහතාට එරෙහිව අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව විසින් පවරා ඇති රුපියල් මිලියන 600කට අධික අයථා වත්කම් උපයා ගැනීමේ නඩුවට අදාළව අතිශය සංවේදී තොරතුරු රැසක් අනාවරණය වී ඇති බව 'දිනමිණ' පුවත්පත වාර්තා කරයි.

මෙම නඩුව කොළඹ මහාධිකරණ විනිසුරු මොහොමඩ් මිහායිල් මහතා ඉදිරියේ ලබන අගෝස්තු මස 20 වැනිදා විභාගයට ගැනීමට නියමිතය.

2010 මාර්තු 31 සිට 2012 මාර්තු 31 දක්වා වූ වසර දෙකක කාලය තුළ අමාත්‍යවරයකු ලෙස කටයුතු කරමින්, සිය නීත්‍යනුකූල ආදායමට වඩා වැඩි ධනස්කන්ධයක් උපයා ගැනීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඔහුට මෙම චෝදනා එල්ල වී තිබේ.

අධිකරණ වාර්තාවලට අනුව, මර්වින් සිල්වා මහතා පෑන් ඒෂියා බැංකුවේ කොල්ලුපිටිය ශාඛාවේ පමණක් රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 1823කට අධික ස්ථාවර තැන්පතු 10ක් පවත්වාගෙන ගොස් ඇත. ඉන් එක් තැන්පතුවක වටිනාකම පමණක් රුපියල් කෝටි 6කි.

මීට අමතරව සිය බිරිඳ වන හිටපු මන්ත්‍රීනී මේරි ලුසීඩා සිල්වා, පුත් මාලක සිල්වා, දියණිය සහ බෑණනුවන්ගේ නමින් විවිධ මූල්‍ය ආයතනවල රුපියල් මිලියන ගණනින් තැන්පතු පවත්වාගෙන ගොස් ඇති බවද හෙළිවී තිබේ.

විත්තිකරු විසින් කොළඹ 07 කුරුඳුවත්ත ප්‍රදේශයෙන් රුපියල් මිලියන 71.3ක ඉඩමක් ද, රාජගිරිය නාවල පාරෙන් රුපියල් මිලියන 39.2ක ඉඩමක් ද, කඩවත ප්‍රදේශයෙන් රුපියල් මිලියන 13ක ඉඩමක් ද මිලදී ගෙන ඇති බව නඩුවේදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත.

එමෙන්ම, 1994 වසරේ සිට කුණ්ඩසාලේ ප්‍රදේශයේ රජයේ ඉඩමක් රුපියල් 1,600ක වැනි ඉතා සුළු බදු මුදලකට ලබාගෙන ඇති බවද සඳහන් වේ.

අදාළ වසර දෙකක කාලය තුළ විත්තිකරු විසින් අසාමාන්‍ය ලෙස වාහන 7ක් මිලදී ගෙන තිබේ. ඒ අතර Porsche, Range Rover Sport, Mercedes Benz, Land Rover සහ Hyundai වැනි ඉහළ වටිනාකමකින් යුත් රථ වාහන පවතින බව විමර්ශනවලදී හෙළිවී ඇත.

මර්වින් සිල්වා මහතා සිය ක්‍රෙඩිට් කාඩ්පත් දෙකක් හරහා වසර දෙකකදී රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 42කට අධික මුදලක් වැය කර ඇති අතර, මූලාශ්‍ර හෙළි නොකළ රුපියල් මිලියන 34.7ක ණයක්ද පියවා තිබේ.

තවද, රිතූ ආකර්ශා නැමැති නිළියක වෙනුවෙන් රුපියල් 240,000ක මුදලක් ලබාදීම සහ සිය පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන් වෙනුවෙන් වාර්ෂිකව රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 13ක වාරික ගෙවමින් රක්ෂණ ඔප්පු 6ක් පවත්වාගෙන යාම පිළිබඳවද අධිචෝදනා පත්‍රයේ කරුණු ඇතුළත් වේ.

වසර දෙකක් වැනි කෙටි කාලයකදී රුපියල් මිලියන 485කට අධික ධනස්කන්ධයක් උපයා ගත්තේ කෙසේද යන්න පිළිබඳව ඉදිරි නඩු වාරවලදී වැඩිදුර විමර්ශනය කිරීමට නියමිත බව පුවත්පත වැඩිදුරටත් වාර්තා කරයි.

Sensitive Information Unveiled in Corruption Case Against ex-Minister Marwin Silva

Significant developments have emerged regarding the corruption investigation into former minister Marwin Silva, with reports indicating that the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has uncovered sensitive information related to illicit asset acquisition exceeding 600 million rupees.

The case is scheduled for examination on August 20 at the Colombo High Court before Judge Mohamed Mihail.

Silva faces allegations pertaining to a two-year period from March 31, 2010, to March 31, 2012, during which he served as a minister, accused of earning wealth far exceeding his legal income.

Court documents reveal that Silva maintained ten fixed deposits at the Pan Asia Bank’s Kollupitiya branch, amounting to over 182.3 million rupees, with one deposit alone valued at 60 million rupees.

Furthermore, it has come to light that his wife, former minister Mary Lucida Silva, along with their son Malaka Silva and other family members, have also held several financial deposits amounting to millions of rupees across various institutions.

The investigation indicates that Silva acquired properties worth 71.3 million rupees in the Kurunduwatta area of Colombo, 39.2 million rupees along the Nawala Road in Rajagiriya, and 13 million rupees in the Kadawatha region.

Additionally, it has been reported that since 1994, he has obtained government land in the Kundasale area for a minimal rental fee of just 1,600 rupees.

During the specified two-year period, Silva reportedly purchased seven vehicles, including high-value brands such as Porsche, Range Rover Sport, Mercedes Benz, Land Rover, and Hyundai, as highlighted in the investigations.

He also reportedly expended over 4.2 million rupees through two credit cards during the two years and maintains an unexplained loan of 34.7 million rupees.

The indictment also includes details about a payment of 240,000 rupees made on behalf of an official named Rithu Akarsha, along with maintaining six insurance policies for family members at an annual cost of 1.3 million rupees.

Further inquiries into how over 485 million rupees in illicit wealth was accumulated in such a short span will continue to unfold in upcoming court sessions.
