බහාලුම් 323ක අභිරහස හෙළිවෙයි...

 කොළඹ වරායෙන් නීත්‍යානුකූල පරීක්ෂාවකින් තොරව බහාලුම් 323ක් මුදාහැරීමේ සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් විමර්ශනය කරන පාර්ලිමේන්තු විශේෂ කාරක සභාවේ අවසන් වාර්තාව මෙම මස අවසානයේදී ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිතය.

පාර්ලිමේන්තු ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කරන පරිදි, අදාළ සිද්ධිය පිළිබඳ විමර්ශන කටයුතු මේ වන විට බොහෝ දුරට අවසන් කර ඇත.

වාර්තාවේ කෙටුම්පත ප්‍රථමයෙන් කාරක සභාව නියෝජනය කරන සාමාජික මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිත අතර, ඔවුන්ගේ නිර්දේශ සහ නිරීක්ෂණ ඇතුළත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව අවසන් වාර්තාව සකස් කෙරෙනු ඇත.

කාරක සභාව පිහිටුවීමේදී සම්මත වූ යෝජනාවට අනුව, එහි පළමු රැස්වීමේ සිට මාස තුනක් ඇතුළත වාර්තාව ඉදිරිපත් කළ යුතුව තිබේ.

මේ අතර, මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් මීට පෙර විමර්ශන මෙහෙයවූ ජනාධිපති කොමිෂන් සභාවේ සාමාජිකයන් පාර්ලිමේන්තු කාරක සභාව හමුවට කැඳවන ලෙස විපක්ෂය ඉල්ලීමක් කර තිබුණි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, එම කොමිෂන් සභාව දැනටමත් සිය අවසන් වාර්තාව ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති බැවින්, එහි සාමාජිකයන් නැවත කැඳවීමේ අවශ්‍යතාවක් නොමැති බව කාරක සභාවේ සභාපතිවරයා තීරණය කර ඇත.

Parliamentary Committee to Present Final Report on 323 Containers Freely Released from Colombo Port

A special parliamentary committee is set to present its final report regarding the controversial release of 323 containers without proper inspections at the Colombo Port by the end of this month. This development comes as investigations into the incident have progressed significantly, according to parliamentary sources.

The committee's preliminary findings will first be shared with the members representing the committee, and their insights and recommendations will be incorporated into the final report.

In accordance with the proposal established during the formation of the committee, the report is mandated to be presented within three months from the committee's inaugural meeting.

Additionally, the opposition has urged that members of the presidential commission, which previously led investigations on this matter, be summoned to appear before the parliamentary committee. However, the committee chair has determined that there is no need to recall these members, as the commission has already submitted its final report.

The committee is chaired by Minister of Justice and National Integration, Attorney-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara.
