මාධ්ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් අමාත්යවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, තමන්ට අවශ්ය ප්රමාණයට වී තොග මේ වන විටත් මිලදී ගෙන ඇති බවට මහා පරිමාණ මෝල් හිමියන් පවසන බවයි.
මේ හේතුවෙන් වෙළෙඳපොළ තුළ යම් ගැටලුකාරී තත්ත්වයක් නිර්මාණය වී ඇති බව රජය පිළිගන්නා බව ද ඔහු පැවසීය.
මෙහිදී පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ වී මිලදී ගන්නන් වෙත අනතුරු ඇඟවීමක් කළ අමාත්යවරයා, රජය සමඟ එකඟ වූ පරිදි නියමිත ප්රමිතියෙන් යුත් වී සඳහා නියමිත මිල ගොවීන්ට ලබා දිය යුතු බව අවධාරණය කළේය.
ගොවීන්ගෙන් අඩු මිලට වී මිලදී ගැනීමට උත්සාහ කරන පිරිස් වෙත ඉදිරියේදී දැඩි නීතිමය පියවර ගැනීමට රජය පසුබට නොවන බව ද නාමල් කරුණාරත්න මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්රකාශ කළේය.
President to Hold Special Meeting on Rice Procurement Issues
A special meeting is set to take place between the President and leaders of large-scale rice mills to address the ongoing challenges in the rice procurement process, as revealed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Namal Karunaratne.
In remarks made to the media, Karunaratne indicated that representatives from major rice mills have assured them of having purchased sufficient quantities of rice. However, this situation has sparked certain problematic conditions within the market, which the government acknowledges.
The Deputy Minister issued a caution to private sector rice buyers, emphasizing that rice should be procured at established prices agreed upon with the government. He stressed the importance of adhering to these standards to ensure fairness in the market.
Additionally, Karunaratne asserted that the government would not hesitate to take stringent legal action against those attempting to purchase rice from farmers at below-market prices in the future.

හැබැයි ඉතින් ඩක්ලි මහත්තයා එහෙම කියනවා නම් ඉතින් ඒක තමයි ආණ්ඩුවේ නිල මතය. හොටු පෙරාගෙන අඩන්නේ නැතිව නිල මතයට අනුගත වෙන්න උත්සාහ කරන එක කාගෙ කාගෙත් ඇගට ගුණයි.
