ඉරානයේ දකුණු වෙරළට ඔබ්බෙන් පිහිටි උපායමාර්ගිකව වැදගත් ලාරක් දූපතේ ස්ථාපනය කර තිබූ ඉරාන මිසයිල විදින පද්ධති දෙකකට ඇමරිකානු හමුදා විසින් පසුගිය සඳුදා ප්‍රහාර එල්ල කර තිබේ.

 ඉරාන විප්ලවීය ආරක්ෂක බලකාය  විසින් හෝමුස් සමුද්‍ර සන්ධිය ඉලක්ක කර ගනිමින් රොකට් ප්‍රහාර එල්ල කිරීමට සහ මුහුදු බෝම්බ ඇටවීමට සූදානම් වන බවට ලද තොරතුරු මත මෙම ප්‍රහාරය එල්ල කළ බව ඇමරිකාව පවසයි.

මෙම ප්‍රහාරයත් සමඟ වොෂින්ටනය සහ ටෙහෙරානය අතර පවතින රාජ්‍යතාන්ත්‍රික සබඳතා සහ ආරක්ෂක තත්ත්වය දැඩි ලෙස උණුසුම් වී ඇත.

අල් ජසීරා පුවත් සේවය වාර්තා කළේ මෙම ප්‍රහාරයෙන් ඉරාන විප්ලවීය ආරක්ෂක බලකායේ සාමාජිකයන් සහ සිවිල් වැසියන් පිරිසක් මියගොස් හෝ තුවාල ලබා ඇති බවයි. ඉරානයේ තස්නිම් (Tasnim) පුවත් ඒජන්සිය සඳහන් කරන පරිදි, ඩ්‍රෝන යානා මගින් එල්ල කළ මෙම ප්‍රහාරයෙන් පුද්ගලයන් දෙදෙනෙකු මියගොස් තවත් දෙදෙනෙකු තුවාල ලබා ඇත.

ඉරාන විප්ලවීය ආරක්ෂක බලකාය පවසන්නේ ජෝර්දානයේ කිං හුසේන් සහ අල්-අස්රාක් කඳවුරුවල තාක්ෂණික යටිතල පහසුකම් සහ ප්‍රහාරක ජෙට් යානා අංගන වෙත දැඩි හානි සිදු වූ බවයි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, ජෝර්දාන සන්නද්ධ හමුදා ප්‍රකාශ කළේ මිසයිල අටක් තම ගුවන් සීමාවට ඇතුළු වූ නමුත් ඒවා ගුවන් ආරක්ෂක පද්ධති මගින් සාර්ථකව විනාශ කළ බවයි.

ඇමරිකානු මධ්‍යම අණදෙන බලකායේ ප්‍රකාශක කොමදෝරු ටිම් හෝකින්ස් සඳහන් කළේ, ජාත්‍යන්තර නාවික ගමන් මාර්ගවල ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා ඇමරිකානු හමුදා දැඩි අවධානයෙන් පසුවන බවයි. හෝමුස් සමුද්‍ර සන්ධිය හරහා ගමන් කරන නෞකා පරීක්ෂා කිරීමට සහ ඒවායින් මුදල් අය කිරීමට ඉරානය කටයුතු කරන බවට ද ඇමරිකාව චෝදනා කරයි.

පසුගිය ජූලි මස අගභාගයේදී ජනාධිපති ඩොනල්ඩ් ට්‍රම්ප් විසින් හමුදා මෙහෙයුම් තාවකාලිකව නතර කිරීමෙන් පසු, ඉරාන භූමියට ඇමරිකාව එල්ල කළ පළමු ප්‍රහාරය මෙය ලෙස වාර්තා වේ.

U.S. Strikes Iranian Missile Systems Following Rocket Attack Concerns

Last Monday, the U.S. military launched an airstrike on two Iranian missile systems strategically positioned on the Larak Island, located off Iran's southern coastline.

This attack was prompted by intelligence indicating that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was preparing to launch rocket strikes and deploy maritime bombers targeting the Hormuz Strait, according to U.S. sources.

As tensions escalate between Washington and Tehran, this recent assault highlights a significant deterioration in their already fraught political and security relationship.

Reports from Al Jazeera indicate that the airstrikes have resulted in casualties among members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as well as local civilians. The Tasnim news agency from Iran claims that this drone strike has left two individuals dead and injured another two.

In response, Iran has vowed to retaliate vigorously, announcing that it targeted U.S. military bases located in Jordan with ballistic missiles.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps asserts that significant damage was inflicted upon technological facilities and strike jets at the King Hussein and Al-Asraq bases in Jordan.

However, the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that while eight missiles entered their airspace, they were successfully intercepted by their air defense systems.

Commodore Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for the U.S. Central Command, emphasized that ensuring security in international maritime routes remains a top priority for U.S. forces, accusing Iran of harassing vessels traveling through the Hormuz Strait and imposing monetary penalties on them.

This marks the first U.S. offensive against Iranian targets since President Donald Trump ordered a temporary halt to military operations at the end of July.

Trump had previously warned that any attempts to bomb vessels in the Hormuz Strait would result in their destruction.
