සෞඛ්ය හා ජනමාධ්ය අමාත්යාංශය සහ ප්රවාහන, මහාමාර්ග හා නාගරික සංවර්ධන අමාත්යාංශය ඒකාබද්ධව ක්රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන "මාධ්යවේදී නිවාස ව්යාපෘතිය" සඳහා අයදුම්පත් කැඳවීම ආරම්භ කර තිබේ.
ත්රිකුණාමලය, චීන වරාය ප්රදේශයේ ඉදිකිරීමට යෝජිත මෙම නිවාස ව්යාපෘතිය මගින් ජනමාධ්ය ක්ෂේත්රය වෙනුවෙන් සුවිශේෂී දායකත්වයක් ලබාදුන්, නිවාස අවශ්යතාව සහිත විද්යුත්, මුද්රිත සහ වෙබ් මාධ්යවේදීන් සඳහා සහනදායී මිලක් යටතේ නිවාස ලබාදීමට නියමිතය. මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය යටතේ නිවාස 27ක් පිරිනැමීමට රජය සැලසුම් කර ඇත.
මෙම නිවාස සඳහා අයදුම් කරන මාධ්යවේදීන් ජනමාධ්ය ක්ෂේත්රයේ වසර 10ක අඛණ්ඩ සේවා කාලයක් සපුරා තිබිය යුතු අතර, වයස අවුරුදු 30ත් 60ත් අතර කාණ්ඩයේ පසුවන්නන් විය යුතුය. එසේම රජයේ ප්රවෘත්ති දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මගින් 2025 හෝ 2026 වර්ෂ සඳහා නිකුත් කරන ලද වලංගු මාධ්ය හැඳුනුම්පතක් සතු වීම අයදුම් කිරීමට අවශ්ය මූලික සුදුසුකමකි.
අදාළ අයදුම්පත් www.media.gov.lk වෙබ් අඩවියෙන් බාගත කරගත හැකි අතර, සම්පූර්ණ කරන ලද අයදුම්පත් 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මස 18 වැනිදාට පෙර "අධ්යක්ෂ (මාධ්ය), සෞඛ්ය හා ජනමාධ්ය අමාත්යාංශය, අංක 163, ඇසිදිසි මැදුර, කිරුළපන මාවත, පොල්හේන්ගොඩ, කොළඹ 05" යන ලිපිනයට යොමු කළ යුතු බව සෞඛ්ය හා ජනමාධ්ය අමාත්යාංශයේ මාධ්ය අධ්යක්ෂ බී.ජී.ජී. දිල්ෂානි මහත්මිය දන්වා සිටී.

Applications Open for Media Housing Project in Trincomalee
The Ministry of Health and Media, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development, has initiated the call for applications for the "Media Housing Project." This initiative aims to provide affordable housing specifically designed for media professionals in the Chinese Port area of Trincomalee.
This housing project is set to deliver vital support to the media sector by catering to the housing needs of electronic, print, and web-based journalists. The government plans to allocate 27 housing units under this scheme.
To qualify, applicants must have a continuous service history of at least ten years in the media industry and fall within the age bracket of 30 to 60 years. Additionally, possession of a valid media identification card issued by the Government Information Department for the years 2025 or 2026 is a fundamental requirement for application.
Interested media personnel can download the application form from the official website www.media.gov.lk. Completed applications must be submitted by September 18, 2026, to the following address: "Director (Media), Ministry of Health and Media, No. 163, Asidisi Building, Kirulapone Mawatha, Polhengoda, Colombo 05," as stated by B.G.J. Dilshani, Director of Media at the Ministry of Health and Media.
