සෙවනගල සීනී කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව දින නියමයක් නැතිව වසා දමයි..

 සීමාසහිත ලංකා සීනි (පුද්ගලික) සමාගමට අයත් සෙවනගල ඒකකයේ කර්මාන්තශාලාව නැවත දැනුම් දෙන තුරු දින නියමයක් නොමැතිව වසා දැමීමට එහි පාලනාධිකාරිය තීරණය කර තිබේ. සේවකයින් විසින් අඛණ්ඩව සිදු කරනු ලබන වැඩ වර්ජනය හේතුවෙන් ආයතනයට සිදුවන මූල්‍යමය පාඩුව අවම කර ගැනීම සඳහා මෙම පියවර ගත් බව සමාගම නිවේදනය කරයි.

පසුගිය 25 වැනිදා පස්වරු 2.00 සිට සෙවනගල ඒකකයේ සේවක පිරිසක් සිය රාජකාරි කටයුතුවලින් බැහැරව නිෂ්පාදන කටයුතු අත්හිටුවීමට පියව
ර ගෙන තිබුණි.

මේ හේතුවෙන් සිදුවන මූල්‍ය අලාභය පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා අත්‍යවශ්‍ය සේවා පවත්වාගෙන යන නිලධාරීන් හැර සෙසු සේවකයින්ට පසුගිය 26 සහ 27 යන දෙදින තුළ නිවාඩු ලබා දීමට පාලනාධිකාරිය කටයුතු කර තිබේ.

කර්මාන්තශාලාවේ නිෂ්පාදන කටයුතු යළි ආරම්භ කරන ලෙස ප්‍රධාන මෙහෙයුම් නිලධාරියා විසින් පසුගිය 28 වැනිදා දැනුම් දී තිබුණද, සේවකයින් සිය වර්ජනය අත්නොහැරීම හේතුවෙන් තත්ත්වය තවදුරටත් සංකීර්ණ වී ඇත.

නිෂ්පාදන කටයුතු ආරම්භ කිරීමෙන් පසුවද සේවකයින් සුපුරුදු පරිදි රාජකාරිවල නිරත නොවීම හේතුවෙන්, තවදුරටත් පාඩු ලැබිය නොහැකි බව පවසමින් පාලනාධිකාරිය විසින් කර්මාන්තශාලාව මෙලෙස දින නියමයක් නොමැතිව වසා දැමීමට අවසාන වශයෙන් තීරණය කර ඇත.

Continued Strike Forces Closure of Sevanagala Sugar Factory

The management of Sevanagala Sugar Factory, a subsidiary of Lanka Sugar (Private) Limited, has announced an indefinite closure of its operations until further notice, attributing this decision to ongoing strikes by employees. This action aims to mitigate financial losses being incurred by the organization, as indicated in a statement from the company.

Beginning from 2:00 PM on August 25, a significant number of workers at the Sevanagala unit withdrew from their duties, halting production activities entirely.

To manage the financial impact, the management decided to grant leave to all employees, except for those essential to maintaining critical services, on the 26th and 27th of August.

Although the Chief Operations Officer announced on August 28 that production should recommence, the situation has further deteriorated as workers have remained steadfast in their strike.

It has now become clear that even if production resumes, ongoing employee absenteeism would render it impossible to avoid further losses, compelling the management to ultimately conclude that closure, with no definitive reopening date, is necessary.
