 ජාතික ජන බලවේගය බලයට පත්වීමෙන් පසු ප්‍රජා ශක්ති වැඩපිළිවෙළ හරහා සැබෑ පාලන බලය ගමට ලබා දී ඇති බව කෘෂිකර්ම, ඉඩම්, පශු සම්පත් සහ වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්‍ය කේ.ඩී. ලාල් කාන්ත මහතා පවසයි.

අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව අවධාරණය කළේ යටිනුවර, මල්ගම්මන වසමේ ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ කොට්ඨාස සභා පිහිටුවීමේ අවස්ථාවට එක්වෙමිනි.

එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, ගම තුළ සිදුවිය යුතු සංවර්ධන කටයුතු පිළිබඳ තීරණ ගැනීමේ පූර්ණ බලය ප්‍රජා ශක්ති කමිටු සතු වන බවයි.

"අපි බලයට ඇවිත් ගමටත් ආණ්ඩුවක් ගෙනත් දීලා තියෙනවා. ප්‍රජා ශක්ති කමිටුවේ සභාපතිවරයා තමයි ගමේ ප්‍රධානියා. ගම ඇතුළේ වෙන්න ඕන වැඩ ගැන තීරණ ගන්න ඕන ඔබයි. අපේ පක්ෂ සංවිධානය ඒ කටයුතු අධීක්ෂණය කරනවා," යැයි ඔහු පැවසීය.

රටේ පවතින රාජ්‍ය යාන්ත්‍රණය මේ වන විට ඉතා දුර්වල මට්ටමක පවතින බව පෙන්වා දුන් අමාත්‍යවරයා, රජය විසින් ප්‍රතිපාදන වෙන් කළද රාජ්‍ය ආයතන හරහා එම කටයුතු නිසි පරිදි ඉටු නොවන බව ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

එම නිසා රජය මෙන්ම ජනතාවද නව වෙනසකට අනුගත විය යුතු බව ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

පැරණි දේශපාලන සංස්කෘතිය වෙනස් කිරීමේ අවශ්‍යතාවය අවධාරණය කරමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, රැකියා ඉල්ලා හෝ වෙනත් පෞද්ගලික අවශ්‍යතා සඳහා අමාත්‍යවරුන් හෝ මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් හමුවීමට පැමිණීමෙන් පලක් නොවන බවයි.

ජනතාවට පවතින ගැටලු ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම සඳහා නවීන තාක්ෂණය භාවිතා කරන ලෙස උපදෙස් දුන් ඔහු, WhatsApp ඔස්සේ යොමු කරන Voice Messages කෙරෙහි තමා පෞද්ගලිකව අවධානය යොමු කර අවශ්‍ය පියවර ගන්නා බවද සඳහන් කළේය.

Empowering Communities: Minister K.D. Lal Kantha Advocates for Local Governance

The National People’s Power has taken steps to devolve actual governmental authority to villages through the Community Strengthening Program, according to K.D. Lal Kantha, Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Livestock, and Irrigation.

His remarks came during the inauguration of a divisional council branch for the National People's Power in the Yatinuwara and Malgammana areas.

Further elaborating, the Minister emphasized that the Community Strengthening Committee holds full power in decision-making regarding developmental activities within villages.

“We have brought governance to the village level. The chairman of the Community Strengthening Committee will be the village head. You are the ones who need to make decisions about what needs to be done within the village. Our party organization will oversee these activities,” he said.

Pointing out the current frailty of the state machinery, he asserted that although the government has allocated provisions, these endeavors are not being carried out effectively through state institutions.

He indicated that both the government and the people must adapt to a new change.

Highlighting the need to transform the old political culture, the Minister remarked that seeking out ministers or parliamentarians for job requests or personal matters yields no benefit.

Encouraging the use of modern technology to present public issues, he mentioned that he personally focuses on voice messages sent via WhatsApp to ensure necessary actions are taken.
