යෝජිත 22 වන ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනයට විරුද්ධ වීමට රජයේ වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරීන්ගේ සංගමය (GMOA) අද (30) තීරණය කළේය.

අධිකරණයේ ස්වාධීනත්වය සහ අපක්ෂපාතීත්වය සුරක්ෂිත කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටීම මෙම තීරණයට මූලික හේතුව වී තිබේ.

එම සංගමයේ ප්‍රකාශකයෙකු සඳහන් කළේ, අධිකරණ පද්ධතියේ ස්වාධීනත්වය රැකගැනීම උදෙසා ඕනෑම අභියෝගයකට මුහුණ දීමට සිය සංගමය සූදානම් බවයි.

රජයේ වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරීන්ගේ සංගමයේ මධ්‍යම කාරක සභාව රැස්වී මෙම තීරණය ඒකමතිකව ගෙන ඇත.

මෙම අරමුණ සාක්ෂාත් කර ගැනීම සඳහා ඉදිරියේදී රජයේ නීතිඥ සංගමය සමඟ එක්ව කටයුතු කිරීමටද සිය සංගමය අපේක්ෂා කරන බව එම ප්‍රකාශකයා වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

Government Medical Officers' Association Opposes Proposed Constitutional Amendment

In a significant move, the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) has decided to oppose the proposed 22nd amendment to the Constitution. This determination was made during a meeting held today, October 30.

The primary motivation behind this decision is to safeguard the independence and impartiality of the judiciary. A spokesperson for the association emphasized their readiness to confront any challenges necessary to protect the integrity of the judicial system.

During the meeting of the GMOA's central committee, the decision was reached unanimously, reflecting the collective stance of the organization.

The spokesperson further noted that the association intends to collaborate with the government lawyers' association in the near future to pursue this goal effectively.
