වත්මන් රජය 22 වන ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය ඉදිරිපත් කරනු ලැබුවේ අධිකරණය සිය සාක්කුවට දමා ගනිමින් සමස්ත රාජ්‍ය යාන්ත්‍රණයේම බලය අත්පත් කරගැනීමේ අරමුණින් බව පිවිතුරු හෙළ උරුමයේ නායක, හිටපු අමාත්‍ය උදය ගම්මන්පිල මහතා පවසයි.

මාධ්‍යවේදීන් නැඟූ ප්‍රශ්නවලට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, ආණ්ඩු බලය හිමිවුවද රාජ්‍ය බලය මෙතෙක් ලැබී නොමැති බවට රජයේ මැති ඇමැතිවරුන් කරන ප්‍රකාශයන් පැරණි කොමියුනිස්ට් න්‍යායක් මත පදනම් වූවක් බවයි.

වසර පහක කාලයකින් අවසන් නොවන පරිදි සමස්ත රාජ්‍ය යාන්ත්‍රණයම සිය පක්ෂයේ පූර්ණ ආධිපත්‍යයට නතු කරගැනීම වත්මන් පාලකයන්ගේ සැබෑ උවමනාව වී ඇතැයිද ඔහු චෝදනා කළේය.

එම සැලසුමේ වඩාත්ම තීරණාත්මක කොටස අධිකරණ පද්ධතිය යටපත් කරගැනීම බව සඳහන් කළ ඒ මහතා, ඊට අමතරව රාජ්‍ය සේවයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නිලධාරීන්ට සාමාන්‍යයෙන් හිමිවන දෙපාර්තමේන්තු ප්‍රධානී තනතුරු පවා අහිමි කරමින්, පිටතින් සිය පාක්ෂිකයන් ගෙනැවිත් එම තනතුරුවලට බඳවා ගනිමින් සිටින බවද පැවසීය.

වත්මන් පරිපාලනය තුළ අමාත්‍යාංශ සහ රාජ්‍ය ආයතන මෙහෙයවනු ලබන්නේ ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලයෙන් නිකුත් කෙරෙන නියෝග මත නොව, පැලවත්තේ පිහිටි ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණේ ප්‍රධාන කාර්යාලයෙන් ලැබෙන විධානවලට අනුව බවටද ගම්මන්පිල මහතා දැඩි චෝදනාවක් එල්ල කළේය.

මීට පෙර පැවති කිසිදු රජයක් යටතේ ඩාර්ලි පාරෙන්, නෙළුම් මාවතෙන් හෝ සිරිකොතින් උපදෙස් ලබාගෙන මෙරට රාජ්‍ය පාලනය සිදු නොවූ බව සිහිපත් කළ හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයා, මෙවැනි අත්තනෝමතික ක්‍රියාමාර්ග ඔස්සේ රට අතිශය භයානක ඒකපාක්ෂික ඒකාධිපති පාලනයක් කරා තල්ලු වෙමින් පවතින බව වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

Udaya Gammanpila Criticizes Government's Move to Consolidate Power

The current government’s proposal to amend the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution is viewed as an attempt to consolidate power within the judiciary and the entire state apparatus, according to Udaya Gammanpila, the leader of the Pure Sri Lanka heritage movement and former minister. He claims that the government aims to exert control over all state mechanisms.

Responding to questions from reporters, Gammanpila highlighted a concerning disparity: while the government may hold power, it has yet to acquire actual state authority. He characterized this assertion by government ministers as grounded in outdated Communist ideology.

He further accused the current rulers of harboring ambitions to bring the entire government structure under their complete domination, a process Gammanpila believes is proceeding unchallenged.

The former minister pointed out that a crucial aspect of this plan involves subjugating the judiciary. Additionally, he disclosed that senior officials within the public service are systematically losing their roles, as loyalists from the ruling party are being imported from abroad to fill these positions.

Gammanpila strongly asserted that ministries and public institutions are operating not under directives from the Presidential Secretariat, but according to instructions from the headquarters of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna in Pelawatte.

He reminded the audience that previous administrations have never conducted state governance based on directions from areas like Darley Road, Nelum Mawatha, or Sirikotha. He concluded by emphasizing that such autocratic measures are dangerously steering the country towards a one-party authoritarian rule.
