”දිය ජනනි” පාවෙන සූර්ය විදුලි බලාගාරය ජාතික විදුලිබල පද්ධතියට එක් කෙරේ..

පුනර්ජනනීය බලශක්තිය උපයෝගීකර ගනිමින් විදුලිය උත්පාදනය කිරීමේ රජයේ ජාතික වැඩසටහන යටතේ දඹුල්ල, ඉබ්බන්කටුව වැව මත ඉදිකරන ලද මෙගාවොට් 05ක ධාරිතාවකින් යුත් “දිය ජනනි” පාවෙන සූර්ය විදුලි බලාගාරය ජාතික විදුලිබල පද්ධතියට එක් කිරීම ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් (18) පස්වරුවේ සිදු විය.

අක්කර 10.5ක ප්‍රමාණයක ඉදිකර ඇති මෙම සූර්ය විදුලි බලාගාරයෙන් වාර්ෂිකව නිවාස 7,500ක පමණ විදුලි සැපයුම් සපුරාලයි. වාර්ෂික කාබන් ඩයොක්සයිඩ් විමෝචනය මෙට්‍රික් ටොන් 6440කින් පමණ අවම කර ගැනීමට මෙයින් හැකියාව ලැබෙන අතර වාර්ෂිකව ඩීසල් මගින් විදුලි උත්පාදනයට වැයවන ලීටර් මිලියන 2.5ක් ඉතිරි කරන අතර, එමගින් වාර්ෂිකව විදේශ මුදල් ඩොලර් මිලියන 3ක් රටට ඉතිරි කෙරේ.

දිය ජනනි පුද්ගලික සමාගම විසින් ඉදිකරන ලද මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය සම්පූර්ණයෙන් දේශීය ඉංජිනේරුවන් සහ තාක්ෂණ ශිල්පීන්ගේ සහාය ලබා ගනිමින් ඉදිකර තිබීම විශේෂත්වයක් වන අතර, ඉදිකිරීම් කාලය තුළ ප්‍රදේශයේ ජනතාව අතරින් පුද්ගලයින් 150 දෙනෙකුට පමණ රැකියා අවස්ථා හිමි විය.

සමරු ඵලකය නිරාවරණය කර “දිය ජනනි” පාවෙන සූර්ය විදුලි බලාගාරය ජාතික විදුලි බල පද්ධතියට සම්බන්ධ කිරීමේ අවස්ථාවට එක් වූ ජනාධිපතිවරයා පාලක මැදිරිය වෙත පැමිණ එහි කටයුතුද නිරීක්ෂණය කළේය. 

මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ ප්‍රජා සත්කාර රැසක් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමද මෙහිදී සිදු වූ අතර ජනාධිපතිවරයා සංකේතාත්මකව එම අවස්ථාවලටද එක් විය.

ඒ අනුව ශ්‍රි විවේකාරාම විහාරස්ථානය සඳහා ජෙනරේටරයක් සහ ධර්ම ශාලාවේ වැඩකටයුතු සඳහා රුපියල් 800,000ක මූල්‍ය පරිත්‍යාගයක් සිදු කිරීම, ධීවර ප්‍රජාවගේ මඩ පොකුණු සාදා ගැනීම සහ ධීවර ආම්පන්න මිලදී ගැනීම සඳහා රුපියල් 2,000,000ක මූල්‍ය ප්‍රදානයක් කිරීම, ක්ලීන් ශ්‍රී ලංකා වැඩසටහන යටතේ හරිත උද්‍යානයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම සඳහා රුපියල් 1,000,000ක මූල්‍ය පරිත්‍යාගයක් සිදු කිරීම, ආනකටාව ප්‍රාථමික විදුහලේ ඉගෙනුම ලබන සියලුම සිසුන්ට වසරකට අවශ්‍ය පාසල් උපකරණ සහ අනෙකුත් ද්‍රව්‍ය මිලදී ගැනීම සඳහා රුපියල් 800,000ක මුදලක් පරිත්‍යාග කිරීම, වීර මොහාන් ජයමහ විද්‍යාලය සහ ජල ව්‍යාපෘතියක් සිදුකිරීම සඳහා රුපියල් 400,000ක මූල්‍ය පරිත්‍යාගයක් කිරීම ඇතුළු පරිත්‍යාග රැසක් සිදු කෙරිණි.

වරාය සහ සිවිල් ගුවන් සේවා සහ බලශක්ති අමාත්‍ය අනුර කරුණාතිලක, බුද්ධශාසන, ආගමික සහ සංස්කෘතික කටයුතු නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය ගමගෙදර දිසානායක, පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී කුමාර ජයකොඩි යන මහත්වරු සහ ප්‍රදේශයේ මහජන නියෝජිතයෝද, බලශක්ති අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම්, ජනාධිපති ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ අතිරේක ලේකම් රසල් අපොන්සු මහතා සහ බලශක්ති අමාත්‍යාංශයේ සහ සුනිත්‍ය බලශක්ති අධිකාරියේ නිලධාරීන් ඇතුළු රාජ්‍ය නිලධාරීහූ, විදුලිබල මණ්ඩලයේ අනුප්‍රාප්තික සමාගම්වල සභාපතිවරු සහ ප්‍රධාන නිලධාරීහූද, WindForce PLC කළමනාකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ මංජුල පෙරේරා මහතා ඇතුළු නියෝජිතයන් මෙම අවස්ථාවට එක්ව සිටියහ.

New Solar Power Plant Launched in Dambulla to Boost Renewable Energy Production

In a significant step towards enhancing renewable energy capabilities, a new five-megawatt floating solar power plant, “Diya Janani,” was officially connected to the national electricity grid in Dambulla, under the government’s national program for electricity generation utilizing renewable energy sources. The inauguration took place on the afternoon of the 18th, with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake presiding over the ceremony.

Constructed on a 10.5-acre site, this solar facility is expected to provide electricity to about 7,500 homes annually. It has the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 6,440 metric tons each year and is projected to save around 2.5 million liters of diesel, translating to an annual foreign currency saving of around 3 million dollars.

Notably, the project was developed entirely with the support of local engineers and technicians, setting a precedent for indigenous expertise. During the construction phase, about 150 job opportunities were created for residents in the area.

After the historic unveiling, the President arrived at the control room to observe operations at the “Diya Janani” solar facility. The event also highlighted various community welfare initiatives linked to the project, which the President symbolically participated in.

As part of the community contributions, financial donations were made, including 800,000 rupees for a generator and work at the Dharma Hall of the Shri Vivekarama Viharaya, 2 million rupees for enhancing fishing communities, and 1 million rupees to establish a green park under the Clean Sri Lanka initiative. Additionally, 800,000 rupees were allocated to purchase necessary school supplies for students at Ankatava Primary School, and 400,000 rupees were given for a water project at Weera Mohan Jayamaha Vidyalaya.

The event was graced by various dignitaries, including the Ministers of Fisheries and Civil Aviation, Anura Karunatilaka, and the Deputy Minister of Buddhism, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Gamagedara Dissanayake, along with Member of Parliament Kumara Jayakodi, local representatives, officials from the Ministry of Power, and senior officials from the Department of Renewable Energy and the Ceylon Electricity Board.
