ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ විසින් අනුරාධපුර නගරයේ පවත්වන ලද ජන රැලියෙන් පසු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත‍්‍රී නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ සමාජ ජාල ගිණුමේ සටහනක් පල කර ඇත.

මන්ත‍්‍රීවරයා මේ වන විටත් කොළඹ රිමාන්ඩ් බන්ධනාගාරයේ රක්‍ෂිත බන්ධනාගාර ගත කර සිටියි.

ගෞරවනීය ස්වාමින් වහන්ස,

සර්ව ආගමික පූජක උතුමනි,

දයාබර දෙමව්පියනි,

දූ දරුවනි,

සහෝදර සහෝදරියනි, මිත්‍රවරුනි, 

කොළඹ රිමාන්ඩ් බන්ධනාගාරයේ යකඩ කූරු අතරින් මම ඔබව දකිමි. ඔබ විසින් මා වෙත පළ කරන මේ ලෙන්ගතු සහෝදරත්වයේ උණුසුම මම මෙහි සිට අත්විඳිමි. ඔබගේ මේ උද්යෝගිමත් සහයෝගය මට ඉමහත් ආස්වාදයකි. මේ අභියෝගාත්මක මොහොතට මම ඉතා ශක්තිමත්ව මුහුණදෙමි. ඔබ වැනි වීරවන්තයින් සහිත දේශපාලන ව්‍යාපාරයක් මෙහෙයවීමට ලැබීම මා ලද භාග්‍යයකි. ජනසටන මහ රැළිය මෙරට පොදුජන සටන් ව්‍යාපාරයේ තීරණාත්මක අලුත් ආරම්භයක් වනු ඇත. අපි මේ අවතීරණ වී සිටින්නේ යුගයේ යුක්ති සහගත ම දේශපාලන සටන් අවකාශය වෙතටයි. ඔබ මා සමඟ එකඟ වනු ඇත. 

ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ ලෝක නායකයෙකු වූ නෙල්සන් මැන්ඩලා, රොබ්න් දූපත් සිර මැදිරියේ සිට ලියූ ලිපියක මෙසේ ලියා තිබුණි. “Difficulties break some men but make others.” දුෂ්කරතා ඇතැමුන්ව බිඳ දමයි. නමුත් දුෂ්කරතා විසින් ඇතැමුන්ව ගොඩනඟයි. අපි දුෂ්කරතා හමුවේ තව තවත් ශක්තිමත් වූ මිනිසුන් ය. අභියෝග අභියසදී වඩාත් ශක්තිමත් වීමේ පාඩම මට කියා දුන්නේ මගේ තාත්තාය. 

ජන වරමට ගරු කිරීම, ප්‍රතිපත්තිවලට වග වීම, තීරණවලට හේතු දැක්වීම, ආණ්ඩුකරණයේ දී නොසලකා හැරිය නොහැක. නමුත් මේ ආණ්ඩුවට එවන් සදාචාරයක් නැත. වර්තමාන මාලිමා ආණ්ඩුව කියූ දේ නොකරයි. නොකියු දේ කරයි. රටේත් සමස්ත පුරවැසි සමාජයේත් සැබෑ අභිලාෂයන් නොතකා සිටී. මෙය රටක දේශපාලනයේ ප්‍රතිපත්තිමය විශ්වාසනීයත්වය බිඳ දැමීමකි. 

මේ ආණ්ඩුවේ ධූර කාලයෙන් 1/3 ක් දැන් අවසන් ය. ඔවුන් විසින් සපථ කළ දියුණු ආර්ථිකය, සුව පහසු ජීවිතය, අලුත් සමාජ දේශපාලන පරිවර්තනය හුදු ප්‍රබන්ධයක් පමණි.  කිසිදු පුරවැසි ආයාචනයකට මාලිමා ආණ්ඩුව සාධාරණ ප්‍රතිචාරයක් දක්වා නැත. තමන්ගේ දහඩිය මහන්සියට සාධාරණයක් ඉල්ලා සිටි ගොවීන්ට මේ ආණ්ඩුව ලබා දුන් බාල අනුවර්තනා නාමය ඔබට අමතක නැත. සාදාරණ ඉල්ලීම් සහිත කම්කරු සටනකට පිළිතුරු ලෙස අදාළ ආයතනය වසා දැමූ ආණ්ඩුවක් ගැන ඔබ මීට පෙර අසා තිබේ ද ?  තෙල් මිල, විදුලි බිල, වී මිල සහ හාල් මිල ගැන මේ තරම් බොරු පොරොන්දු දුන් ආණ්ඩුවක් තවදුරටත් බලයේ සිටිය යුතු ද ?  බදු බර අඩු කරන බවට ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍ය සහ පාසල් උපකරණ සියලු බදුවලින් නිදහස් කරන බවට පොරොන්දු දුන් ආණ්ඩුවට අද ඒ කිසිවක් ගැන වගේ වගක් නැත. ජීවන වියදම දරා ගත නොහැකි මට්ටමක පවතී. අසීමිත බදු බර දෛනික ජන ජීවිතයත්, රටේ සමස්ත ආර්ථික දේහයත් නිර්වින්දනය කර ඇත. සුළු හා මධ්‍ය පරිමාණ ව්‍යවසායකයින්, කර්මාන්තකරුවන්, ගොවීන්, ධීවරයින්, කම්කරුවන් රාජ්‍ය හා පෞද්ගලික අංශ සේවකයින් මේ සියල්ලෝම අන්ත අසරණ වී සිටිති. සමාජ සාධාරණත්වය වෙනුවෙන් ආණ්ඩුව කිසිවක් කරන්නේ නැත. ආණ්ඩුව පොහොසත් ය. පුරවැසියන් දුප්පත් ය. ප්‍රාථමික ගිණුමේ ශේෂය හෝ අයවැය අතිරික්තයක් තුළින් පමණක් දියුණු ආර්ථිකයක් හෝ සුව පහසු ජන ජීවිතයක් නිර්මාණය වන්නේ නැත. නූතන සමාජය දියුණුව සහ සංවර්ධනය ලෙස සලකන්නේ පුරවැසියන්ගේ යහපත් ජීවන තත්ත්වයන් මිස සාර්ව ආර්ථික දත්තයන් නොවේ. 

මිත්‍රවරුනි, ආණ්ඩුවේ දේශපාලන බලවතුන් සියලු දෙනා සිටින්නේ නීතියට ඉහළින් ය. නීතියට ඉහළින් කිසිවෙක් නැත යන්න මේ ආණ්ඩුව යටතේ තවදුරටත් වලංගු නැත. මේ ආණ්ඩුව රාජ්‍යයේ සියලු විමර්ශන ආයතන මුළුමනින් ම දේශපාලනීකරණය කර අවසන් ය. ආණ්ඩුවට සහ ආණ්ඩුවේ බලවතුන්ට එරෙහිව ප්‍රබල චෝදනා එල්ල වී තිබේ. නමුත් ඒ කිසිවක් පිළිබඳව පිළිගත හැකි සාධාරණ විමර්ශනයක් සිදුවන බවක් නොපෙනේ. ඒ චූදිතයන් සියල්ලෝ ම ආණ්ඩුවේ දේශපාලන රැකවරණය ලබමින් නිදැල්ලේ සිටිති. 

මේ ආණ්ඩුව පොරොන්දු වූයේ අලුත් ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථාවක් සම්පාදනය කර ජනමත විචාරණයකින් සම්මත කරන බවයි. විධායක ජනාධිපති ධුරය අහෝසි කරන බවටත් අගමැති ප්‍රමුඛ පාර්ලිමේන්තු ආණ්ඩු ක්‍රමයක් ස්ථාපිත කරන බවටත් අලුත් මැතිවරණ ක්‍රමයක් හඳුන්වා දෙන බවටත් එහි දී පොරොන්දු වී තිබුණි. පළාත් සභා මැතිවරණය පිළිබඳව ද ආණ්ඩුව සාහසික ලෙස නිහඬව සිටී. යුක්තිය, සාධාරණය, නීතියේ අධිපත්‍ය සහ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී හරයන් නොසලකමින් ආණ්ඩුව අලුත් ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනයක් කරලියට රැගෙන විත් තිබේ. එවැනි සංශෝධනයක අවශ්‍යතාවය පිළිබඳ පිළිගත හැකි සාධාරණ හේතු දැක්වීමක නැත. කවුරු විරුද්ධ වුනත් අපි ඒක කරනවා යැයි පාරම්බෑම ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය නොවේ. මේ ආණ්ඩුවේ වියරු හැසිරීමට අපි තවදුරටත් ඉඩ දිය යුතු ද ? 

අපේ රටේ ජනගහන දත්ත විමසා බැලීමේ දී තරුණ ජනගහනයේ සාපේක්ෂ ඉහළ යාමක් නිරීක්ෂණය වේ. එයින් මූලික වශයෙන් අදහස් වන්නේ ලක්ෂ සංඛ්‍යාත තරුණ පිරිසක් රැකියා වෙළෙඳ පොළට ඇතුළු වීමේ අපේක්ෂාවෙන් පසුවන බවයි. මාලිමා ආණ්ඩුව මේ තරුණ අභිලාෂය තේරුම් ගෙන නැත. අලුත් රැකියා අවස්ථාවන් උත්පාදනය සඳහා ආණ්ඩුවට වැඩපිළිවෙලක් නැත. රාජ්‍ය ආයෝජන අතහැර දමා ඇත. පෞද්ගලික ආයෝජන අධෛර්යමත් කර ඇත. ආණ්ඩුවේ බදු ප්‍රතිපත්තිය ඊට හේතු වී තිබේ. එලෙස මිය දෙන තරුණ බලාපොරොත්තු ගැන ආණ්ඩුවට කිසිදු හැඟීමක් නැත. පවුලේ ජීවන බර හේතුවෙන් තාරුණ්‍යයේ උසස් අධ්‍යාපන අවස්ථා ද අහිමි වෙමින් පවතී. 

මාලිමා ආණ්ඩුවේ සියුම් සංස්කෘතික ප්‍රහාරය ද අපි තේරුම් ගත යුතුව ඇත. තම තමන්ගේ අන්‍යනතාවයන් රැකගෙන සියල්ලන් සමඟ එකට ජීවත් වීම මහජන අපේක්ෂාවයි. නමුත් එවැනි දියුණු සංහිඳියා ප්‍රවේශයක් ආණ්ඩුවට නැත. වාර්ගික සුහදත්වය සහ ආගමික සහජීවනය වෙත ආණ්ඩුවට ඇත්තේ ඉතා නොදියුණු ප්‍රවේශයකි. 

ආදරණීය දෙමාපියනි, සහෝදර සහෝදරියනි, ආණ්ඩුවේ වියරු දේශපාලන බලයට මා කිසිසේත් යටත් වන්නේ නැත. මා බිය වන්නේ ද නැත. අපගේ අධිෂ්ඨානය සිරගත කළ නොහැක. කිසිවෙකු පිළිබඳ වෛරයක් අපට නැත. නමුත් මේ සමාජ, ආර්ථික, දේශපාලන ව්‍යවසනයට එරෙහිව අපි සටන් කළ යුතුව ඇත. ජයග්‍රහණය පිළිබඳ අකලංක විශ්වාසයෙන් අපි ඉදිරියටම යමු. නොබියව වීර්යවන්තව සටන් කරමු. එය උපන් නූපන් සියල්ලන් වෙනුවෙන් අප වෙත පැවරුණු වගකීමයි. එය අත්හල නොහැක. ඕනෑම අභියෝගයක් ජයගත හැකි දැවැන්ත මහජන බලවේගයක් ගොඩ නගමු. අපි සාමකාමී වෙමු. විනය රකිමු. නීතියට ගරු කරමු. මේ ඉතිහාස ගත ජනසටන ජයග්‍රහණයෙන් අවසන් කරමු. මාගේ හෘදයාංගම ස්තුතිය ආදරයෙන් භාර ගන්නා ලෙස ඉල්ලා සිටිමි.

Namala Rajapaksa Addresses Supporters from Colombo Remand Prison

Following a rally organized by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in Anuradhapura, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa issued a heartfelt message via his social media account.

Currently, the MP remains in custody at the Colombo Remand Prison.

His full statement reads as follows:

Dear Esteemed Clergy,

Honorable Religious Leaders,

Beloved Parents,

Dear Children,

Brothers and Sisters, Friends,

Through the iron bars of the Colombo Remand Prison, I see you. The warmth of the solidarity you demonstrate to me is palpable from here. Your enthusiastic support gives me immense joy. I face this challenging moment with great strength. It is my privilege to lead a political movement that includes courageous individuals like you. The People's Struggle will signify a decisive new beginning for the common struggle in our nation. We stand at the threshold of a political battle that is logical and just. I believe you agree with me.

In a letter penned from the Robben Island prison, the esteemed global leader Nelson Mandela wrote, “Difficulties break some men but make others.” Challenges may shatter some, yet they elevate others. We are among those who become stronger in the face of adversity. The lesson of resilience during trials was imparted to me by my father.

Respecting the people's mandate, being accountable to policies, and justifying decisions should never be overlooked. However, this government exhibits a lack of such morality. The current administration does not adhere to what it proclaims; it disregards the genuine aspirations of the nation's citizens. This represents a significant breach of political trust in our country’s governance.

One-third of this government's term has now concluded. Their promises of economic development and comfortable living are nothing more than mere rhetoric. The Malima government has failed to provide just responses to any citizen's requests. You may remember the inadequate compensation provided to farmers who demanded justice for their labor. Have you heard of a government that responded by closing relevant departments when faced with legitimate worker struggles? How can a government that keeps issuing false promises regarding fuel prices, electricity bills, rice, and flour continue to remain in power?

Today, the government is indifferent to its assurances of reducing tax burdens and exempting basic foodstuffs and school supplies from taxes. The cost of living has reached an unbearable level. The excessive tax burden has stifled daily life and undermined the entire economic structure of the country. Small and medium-scale entrepreneurs, industrialists, farmers, fishers, and workers in both state and private sectors are all left destitute. The government has done nothing for social justice. While the government is thriving, its citizens remain impoverished. An advanced economy and a comfortable lifestyle cannot be constructed from budgetary surpluses or excesses in initial accounts. Modern society perceives development and progress as an enhancement of the citizens' quality of life, not merely economic statistics.

Friends, all political powers in the government are above the law. The principle that no one is above the law no longer holds true under this administration. All state investigatory bodies have been fully politicized. Serious accusations have been leveled against the government and those in power, yet there is no indication of a credible inquiry into these matters. All those implicated are enjoying political protection from the government.

This government promised to enact a new constitution subject to public referendum while abolishing the executive presidential office, laying the foundations for a parliamentary governance system. Yet, it remains silent on local council elections. The government has initiated constitutional amendments without considering justice, fairness, supremacy of law, or democratic principles. There are no valid reasons justifying such amendments. It is not democracy to proceed with changes unilaterally against opposition. Should we continue to allow the government's detestable behavior?

When we examine our country's demographic data, we see a significant increase in the youth population. This suggests that a vast number of young individuals are entering the job market with high expectations. However, the Malima government appears oblivious to this aspiration. There is no structured plan from the government to create new employment opportunities. State investments have been neglected, and private investment has become increasingly stifled due to the government's tax policies. The government shows no concern for the dying hopes of our youth. The burdens of family living are resulting in a loss of prospects for higher education among the young.

We must also recognize the subtle cultural attacks from the Malima government. Living together with respect for diversity is a public expectation. However, the government adopts a regressive approach to promoting racial harmony and religious coexistence.

Dear Parents, Brothers, and Sisters, I will never bow to the oppressive political authority of this government. I am neither afraid nor intimidated. Our morals cannot be imprisoned. We harbor no animosity towards anyone. However, we must fight against this social, economic, and political disparity. With unwavering confidence in our victory, we shall advance. Let us fight bravely and unafraid. This is our duty to all generations to come. It cannot be compromised. Together, we will build a monumental public force capable of overcoming any challenge. Let us maintain our peace, uphold discipline, and honor the law. Together, let us conclude this historical people's struggle triumphantly. I implore you to accept my heartfelt gratitude with love.
