කතානායක හොදටම හිරවෙයි.. නිල නිවසේ භාරකරු අල්ලසෙන් ප‍්‍රශ්ණ කරයි..

 කථානායක නිල නිවසට  සිදුව ඇතැයි පැවසෙන දූෂණ හා අක්‍රමිකතා සම්බන්ධයෙන් ප්‍රශ්න කිරීම සඳහා එම නිල නිවසේ භාරකරු ලබන සතියේදී අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව හමුවට කැඳවා තිබේ.

අදාළ සියලු ලියකියවිලි ද සහිතව නිල නිවාස භාරකරු කොමිසමේ විශේෂ විමර්ශන අංශය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙස අල්ලස් කොමිසම විසින් පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ නියෝජ්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂ (පාලන) චින්තා බුලත්සිංහල මහත්මිය වෙත දැනුම් දී ඇත.

ඒ අනුව, කථානායක නිල නිවස සම්බන්ධයෙන් නඩත්තු කෙරෙන සේවක ලේඛන ඇතුළු සියලුම ලේඛන මෙන්ම විදුලිය, ජලය සහ අනෙකුත් සේවා ගෙවීම්වලට අදාළ බිල්පත් සහ ලේඛන විමර්ශන නිලධාරීන් හමුවට ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙස වැඩිදුරටත් නියෝග කර තිබේ.

පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ හිටපු නියෝජ්‍ය මහලේකම් සහ කාර්ය මණ්ඩල ප්‍රධානී නීතිඥ චමින්ද කුලරත්න මහතා විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද පැමිණිල්ලකට අනුව, 2023 අංක 9 දරන දූෂණ විරෝධී පනත යටතේ මෙම විමර්ශනය ආරම්භ කර ඇත.

කථානායකවරයාට ලබා දී ඇති පහසුකම් සම්බන්ධයෙන් විමර්ශනය කිරීම සඳහා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ නියෝජ්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂ (පාලන) චින්තා බුලත්සිංහල මහත්මිය ඇතුළු උසස් නිලධාරීන් තිදෙනෙකුගෙන් අල්ලස් කොමිසම මීට පෙරද ප්‍රශ්න කර ප්‍රකාශ සටහන් කරගෙන තිබිණි.

මේ අතර, කථානායක නිල නිවසෙන් බැහැර කර ඇතැයි පැවසෙන ඇඳ ඇතිරිලි, තුවා සහ කොට්ට උර ඇතුළු භාණ්ඩ තොගයක් පිළිබඳ ලේඛනයක් පසුගිය දිනවල සමාජ මාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ ද දැඩි කතාබහට ලක්විය.

පැමිණිලිකාර නීතිඥ චමින්ද කුලරත්න මහතාගෙන් ද අල්ලස් කොමිසම පසුගියදා දීර්ඝ ලෙස ප්‍රකාශ සටහන් කරගත් අතර, එම දූෂණ සහ අක්‍රමිකතාවලට අදාළ ලේඛන රැසක් ද ඔහු විසින් විමර්ශන නිලධාරීන් වෙත භාර දී ඇත.

Commission to Investigate Allegations of Corruption at the Speaker's Official Residence

The caretaker of the Speaker's official residence is set to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption next week. This summons is linked to accusations of improprieties and malpractices concerning the official residence.

The commission has instructed the caretaker to submit all relevant documents to the special investigation unit of the commission. Chinthya Bulathsinhala, the Deputy Director (Administration) of Parliament, has been notified accordingly.

As directed, the caretaker must present records pertaining to maintenance staff, as well as bills and documents related to payments for electricity, water, and other services for review by the investigators.

This investigation commenced under the Bribery Act No. 9 of 2023, following a complaint lodged by Chaminda Kulathunga, a former Deputy Secretary General of Parliament and Chief of Staff.

The commission had previously questioned several high-ranking officials, including Chinthya Bulathsinhala, concerning the facilities provided to the Speaker and has recorded their statements.

Recently, a series of items including bedding, utensils, and furniture alleged to be removed from the Speaker's official residence were discussed extensively on social media, stirring public interest.

Additionally, Chaminda Kulathunga provided the commission with numerous documents related to the alleged corruption and malpractices during a lengthy statement session in recent days.
