තායිලන්තය ශ‍්‍රී ලංකාවට නිදහස් වීසා අත්හිටුවයි...

 ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ගමන් බලපත්‍ර හිමියන් සඳහා තායිලන්තය විසින් ලබා දී තිබූ ‘වීසා රහිතව ඇතුළු වීමේ’ සහනය ලබන සැප්තැම්බර් 15 වැනිදා සිට ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පරිදි අහෝසි කිරීමට එරට රජය තීරණය කර ඇත.

තායිලන්ත රජය විසින් හඳුන්වා දී ඇති නව සංශෝධිත ඇතුළුවීමේ රෙගුලාසිවලට අනුව මෙම පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.

තායිලන්ත විදේශ කටයුතු අමාත්‍යාංශය සඳහන් කරන පරිදි, වීසා නිදහස් කිරීම් සහ පැමිණීමේදී ලබා දෙන වීසා (Visa on Arrival) සම්බන්ධ නව ක්‍රමවේදය පසුගිය අගෝස්තු 31 වැනිදා එරට රජයේ ගැසට් පත්‍රයේ ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත.

පසුගිය මැයි මාසයේදී තායිලන්ත කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලය විසින් අනුමත කරන ලද සමාලෝචනයකට අනුව මෙම වෙනස්කම් සිදු කර තිබේ.

ඒ අනුව, මීට පෙර ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන්ට හිමිව තිබූ දින 60ක වීසා රහිත රැඳී සිටීමේ සහනය අහෝසි වී ඇති අතර, කෙටි කාලීන සංචාර සඳහා වීසා නොමැතිව ඇතුළු විය හැකි රටවල නාමලේඛනය ද තායි රජය විසින් සංශෝධනය කර ඇත.

ජාතික ආරක්ෂාව, සංචාරක හා ආර්ථික අභිලාෂයන්, ද්විපාර්ශ්වික අන්‍යෝන්‍ය ප්‍රතිලාභ සහ තායිලන්තයේ ඉලෙක්ට්‍රොනික වීසා (e-Visa) පද්ධතියේ භාවිතය ප්‍රචලිත කිරීම වැනි කරුණු සලකා බලමින් තායි රජය මෙම තීරණයට එළඹ තිබේ.

නව රෙගුලාසිවලට අනුව, සැප්තැම්බර් 15 වැනිදායින් පසුව තායිලන්තය බලා පිටත්ව යන සියලුම ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන් සිය ගමනට පෙර වලංගු වීසාවක් ලබා ගැනීම අනිවාර්ය වේ.

මේ සඳහා තායිලන්තයේ මාර්ගගත e-Visa පද්ධතිය හරහා අයදුම්පත් යොමු කළ හැකි බවත්, කොළඹ පිහිටි රාජකීය තායි තානාපති කාර්යාලය ද මේ පිළිබඳව නිල වශයෙන් දැනුවත් කර ඇති බවත් වාර්තා වේ.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, සැප්තැම්බර් 15 වැනිදාට පෙර තායිලන්තයට ඇතුළු වන ශ්‍රී ලාංකික සංචාරකයන්ට එරට ආගමන විගමන බලධාරීන් විසින් ලබා දෙන අවසරය අවසන් වන තෙක් වීසා රහිතව රැඳී සිටීමට අවස්ථාව හිමි වන බව ද එම පුවත් වාර්තාවේ වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් වේ.

Thailand to Cancel Visa-Free Entry for Sri Lankans Effective September 15

The government of Thailand has decided to revoke the visa-free entry provision for Sri Lankan passport holders, which was set to take effect from September 15. This decision aligns with the new revised entry regulations introduced by the Thai authorities.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the changes regarding visa exemptions and the Visa on Arrival process were officially announced in a government gazette on August 31.

The adjustments were made following a review approved by the Thai Cabinet in May of this year. As a result, the previously granted 60-day visa-free stay for Sri Lankans has been terminated, and the list of countries whose nationals can enter Thailand without a visa has also been revised.

The Thai government's decision took into consideration factors such as national security, tourism and economic aspirations, bilateral mutual benefits, and the promotion of the electronic visa (e-Visa) system in Thailand.

Under the new regulations, all Sri Lankans wishing to travel to Thailand after September 15 are required to obtain a valid visa prior to their journey. Applications can be submitted through Thailand’s online e-Visa system, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo has officially communicated this requirement.

However, it was also noted that Sri Lankans arriving in Thailand before September 15 will still have the opportunity to stay without a visa until authorized by the immigration officials there.
