කොළඹ දිස්ත්රික්කයේ ප්රදේශ රැසකට අද (03) රාත්රී 8.00 සිට හෙට (04) රාත්රී 8.00 දක්වා පැය 24ක කාලයක් ජල සැපයුම අත්හිටුවන බව ජාතික ජල සම්පාදන හා ජලාපවහන මණ්ඩලය නිවේදනය කරයි.
අඹතලේ - දෙහිවල ජල සම්ප්රේෂණ නළයේ බත්තරමුල්ල, දියත උයන ආසන්නයේ (පොල්දූව පාලම අසල) සිදුකරනු ලබන අත්යවශ්ය නඩත්තු කටයුත්තක් හේතුවෙන් මෙලෙස ජල සැපයුම අත්හිටුවීමට සිදුවන බව එම මණ්ඩලය පවසයි.
ඒ අනුව, නුගේගොඩ, කොහුවල, දෙහිවල, ගල්කිස්ස, රත්මලාන, මොරටුව, රාවතාවත්ත, සොයිසාපුර, අඟුලාන, ඉඳිබැද්ද, කටුබැද්ද, කල්දෙමුල්ල, මෝදර, කොරලවැල්ල, එගොඩඋයන සහ කවුඩුකුරුන්ද යන ප්රදේශවලට ජල සැපයුම අත්හිටුවීමට නියමිතය.
මීට අමතරව සෙත්සිරිපාය, හිඹුටාන, උඩුමුල්ල පාර, මාලිගාගොඩැල්ල, බැංකු හන්දිය පාර, ඩබ්ලිව්. ඒ. සිල්වා මාවත, හැව්ලොක් පාර, කල්යාණි පාර, කොළඹ 06, රෝහල් වටරවුම් පාර, ජයන්ති මාවත සහ ශාන්ති මාවත යන ප්රදේශවලට ද මෙම ජල කප්පාදුව බලපාන බව ජාතික ජල සම්පාදන හා ජලාපවහන මණ්ඩලය වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කරයි.
ජල සැපයුම අත්හිටුවීම හේතුවෙන් සිදුවන අපහසුතාව පිළිබඳව කනගාටුව පළ කරන ජල සම්පාදන මණ්ඩලය, පාරිභෝගිකයින්ට අවශ්ය ජලය කලින් රැස්කර තබා ගන්නා ලෙස ඉල්ලා සිටියි.
Water Supply Suspension in Colombo District for 24 Hours
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a suspension of water supply across several areas in the Colombo District from 8:00 PM today (October 3) until 8:00 PM tomorrow (October 4).
This interruption in service is due to essential maintenance work being carried out near the Polduwa bridge, specifically at the Biyagama and Dehiwala water transmission line, as noted by the board.
Areas affected by this water disruption include Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Dehiwala, Galawilawatta, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, Soysa Puram, Angulana, Indibeddha, Katubadda, Kaldemulla, Modara, Korala-wella, Egodawatta, and Kaduwela.
Furthermore, neighborhoods such as Sethsiripaya, Himbutana, Udumulla Road, Maligagoda, Bank Junction Road, W.A. Silva Mawatha, Havelock Road, Kalyani Road, Colombo 06, Hospital Circular Road, Jayanti Mawatha, and Shanti Mawatha will also experience this water cut, according to the board.
The board expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the suspension and urged consumers to store sufficient water in advance to meet their needs during this period.
