 වත්මන් රජය යටතේ රටේ වංචා සහ දූෂණ නතර කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන ඇති බවත්, පද්ධතිය තුළ පවතින සුළු අඩුපාඩු මඟහරවා ගැනීම සඳහා නව තාක්ෂණය සහ ඩිජිටල්කරණ ක්‍රියාවලිය හඳුන්වා දෙන බවත් අමාත්‍ය වසන්ත සමරසිංහ මහතා පවසයි.

ජන හමුවක් අමතමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.

"අපි ජනතාවට ලබා දුන් පොරොන්දු ඒ අයුරින්ම ඉටු කරමින් සිටිනවා. ප්‍රධාන පෙළේ වංචා දූෂණ අපි නතර කර තිබෙනවා. නමුත් රාජ්‍ය තන්ත්‍රය සහ නිලධාරීන් අතර තවමත් ඇතැම් සුළු දූෂණ සිදුවන බවට අපට තොරතුරු ලැබෙනවා. ඒවා වැළැක්වීමට තාක්ෂණය උපයෝගී කරගත් ඩිජිටල්කරණ වැඩපිළිවෙළක් අපි ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනවා," යැයි අමාත්‍යවරයා පැවසීය.

එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, හිටපු මැති ඇමතිවරුන් පරිහරණය කළ නිවාස දහයක් පමණ මේ වන විට තානාපති කාර්යාල සහ සංචාරක ව්‍යාපෘති සඳහා ලබා දීමට කටයුතු කර ඇති බවයි. එමෙන්ම, හිටපු පාලකයින්ට එරෙහි නඩු කඩිනම් කිරීම සඳහා මහාධිකරණ තුනක් ස්ථාපිත කර ඇති බවත්, අයථා ලෙස උපයාගත් දේපළ රජයට පවරා ගැනීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය නීතිමය ප්‍රතිපාදන සකස් කර ඇති බවත් ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේය.

විපක්ෂය විසින් ගම් මට්ටමින් ගොස් රජයට එරෙහිව අසත්‍ය ප්‍රචාර පතුරුවන බවට චෝදනා කළ අමාත්‍යවරයා, රජයක් ලෙස සත්‍ය තොරතුරු ජනතාවට පැහැදිලි කර දීම තම වගකීම බවද වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

Government Takes Steps to Combat Fraud and Corruption, Says Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe

Amid ongoing efforts to address fraud and corruption, the current government is implementing new technologies and digital processes to counteract minor deficiencies within the system, according to Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe.

Speaking at a public meeting, Samarasinghe emphasized the government's commitment to fulfilling its promises to the people. "We have succeeded in halting major instances of corruption. However, we continue to receive reports of some minor corrupt practices among state institutions and officials. To prevent these occurrences, we are launching a digital initiative that utilizes technology," he stated.

He further elaborated that approximately ten residences previously allocated to former ministers are now being repurposed for diplomatic missions and tourism projects. Additionally, a Special High Court has been established to expedite legal proceedings against former officials, and necessary legislative provisions have been set in motion to confiscate improperly acquired assets.

Minister Samarasinghe accused the opposition of disseminating false propaganda against the government at the grassroots level. He reaffirmed his responsibility as a government representative to ensure the public is informed with truthful information.
